This is our local food lion, whenever we are wanting something to be kept in stock they nearly always deliver! Staff is always friendly, lines in the summer time (tourist season) can be a bit crazy! But in all great grocery store, don’t know what we would do with out them!

My one star review does not reflect the employees or the service. The self-checkout registers are such a Time wasting experience that frustrates customers and employees. Each time someone buys produce or alcohol, they need to stand around and wait for an associate to come help. At a corporate level, putting these worthless devices in your store is probably one of the dumbest decisions you could ever make. Customers hate them. Employees hate them. The human staffed registers are where people go with full carts. Someone who has 10 to 20 items is going to end up wasting a lot of their time and this is a very busy location during the tourist season. Remove the self-checkout and bring back human interaction and efficiency.

The only grocery store that I have found to be consistent no matter where it's located. The produce is always on point. The layout of store is consistent as well. I love knowing where to go no matter which location I'm at

This is basically the only place to buy groceries quickly if you are in Cape Charles.It's a large and nice Food Lion actually very well-stocked with all the essentials you might need and a great deli and bakery section.We've stopped here several times for drinks, snacks, sandwiches, cookies, and other items we needed while staying in Cape Charles and it's always easy to find what we need (more than we need actually) and then we can self-checkout which I prefer.Win!

It's a food lion, cashier didn't give me all my bags and I had to go back after driving 30 minutes to find out I was missing several items.
