The gentlemen here are friendly, kind and helpful, finding the right size box and offering stamps because we needed them, and finding the cheapest shipping option for what we needed. In stark contrast to another post office where they are unhelpful and won’t help you find or pack boxes. Thank you for the outstanding customer service!”

“This review is for passport services only. I visited the Lorton post office to apply for a passport. I arrived on time for my appointment, but the photo equipment was broken (which happens), so I had to go somewhere nearby to get my photos. That did not otherwise result in any delay in my application review and the solution was easy, so I didn't deduct any stars for that. It might be a problem for those trying to apply for a passport during walk-in hours, so I'd recommend coming with photos in hand just in case.
The postal worker was professional and patient and took great care to make sure the application and supporting documents were all present and correct. The worker clearly had had a lot of experience with the passport process and knew what to do to make sure the application made it through the State Department smoothly. I wouldn't hesitate to go to this location for passport assistance again.”
“In and out fast. I was about an hour early to my appointment, I thought I'd have to go back, but I was able to do my fingerprints at that moment, and it was very fast.”
“I love this post office. The workers there are so nice. The Merrifield location literally kicked me out because they could not get my fingerprints to work and the staff at this location were really patient and save me. Thank you!!!”
“I had an issue not being able to open a Parcel mailbox when the delivery driver put a live animal delivery in there so I went to this post office to get the problem resolved. The staff were very kind, understanding, and had a sense of urgency. I was able to get my package out safely that day even though it was right when they were closing. Cannot thank them enough for their help!”

“Starting in roughly the first day of 2023 the lobby is closed when the associated retail location is closed. Access to the store to the post office that is is through the lobby. The Post Office boxes are accessible only in the lobby when it is open. This was done because homeless people were sleeping in the lobby overnight. There is no shelter for single people in the neighborhood. However there is a family shelter on the corner of Patrick Henry and Leesburg Pike”
“I visited this post office today for a new passport, I was helped by Sunisa. 2 yrs ago she also assisted me with my kids passports. She is always so friendly and provides the best customer service. I really appreciate her making the process so easy and pleasant. Thank you Sunisa for all you do!”

“The Manager Ms. Januki is very hands on and FIRST CLASS service !!! She approached all customers who were in the long line on this weekend to see if she could assist with anything. Surprisingly they have additional special service desk. She assisted me with my money order service and some other customers in very efficient manner. Within half minute she got it done! BRAVO! Thanks for making USPS great again :) ? ? ? ❤ ? ? ?”
“This post office does allow you to hand cancel your wedding invitations or anything with a wax seal. They give you the stamp and you stamp them all and place them in a bin. Was quick and easy.”
“I had a lot of stuff to send (8 boxes total and 3 were heavy dive tanks). Elenor and Judy were fantastic and laughed and made it fun, even when the printer jammed (repeatedly). The location was so easy to get to, close parking and easy access to the counter. I drove out of my way (from Arlington), just to use this location, and I will do so again!! Great job ladies !!!”
“This 5 star review is for Lauren.I’ve been to this post office several times, and my experience today with Lauren was exceptional! She was very helpful, friendly, and ensured I was charged the right amount for stamps. Apparently I had been overcharged for stamps the previous times I came to send my wedding invitations internationally and locally. I appreciate that Lauren informed me of the international stamp, which was not mentioned by other employees the previous times. (The other times I was overcharged by at least 50 cents for stamps to send my wedding invitations internationally, and overcharged by 40 cents to send wedding invitations locally.) A note to management, please ensure that all employees let customers know of all stamp options and to not overcharge.I do appreciate that at every encounter with different postal employees, all employees hand cancelled my wedding invitations.”

“I've been here twice & I like it there. It's quite & not a lot of traffic. I hate going to the one in Woodbridge, where I have to wait almost 30 mins to get to the desk. Customer service there is nice as well.”

Anwar helped me with an envelope that was returned to sender, and another package that was a gift for a friend. Anwar took the time to insure both packages arrived on time (peak holiday season) and at the most affordable rate. You put all these negative reviews to shame, Anwar. THANK YOU!!!”
“We made an appointment here for a new passport. We had all the supporting information with us and the forms filled out ahead of time and everything. We showed up 10 minutes early as they recommend. After only a few minutes, they processed everything super quickly, knew exactly what they were doing, and we got out of there before our appointment was even supposed to start! Excellent service and I recommend this location for any passport stuff in the area over other local post offices. We appreciate it!”

“Once you find it next to Peet's coffee (not PNC), this place is super convenient. Take a prepaid package, scan and get a receipt. No person required. So much better than waiting for a post office to open.”
“We have visited this USPS store several times for box returns, mailing letters and most recently (mid-January 2024) for filing for US passport. At all these times, the people that work there were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and seem professional. I am surprised to see negative reviews and a low average for this USPS, because my experience has been totally positive. This is the reason why I wanted to remember to post a 5-star review for this one. I also had bad experiences at USPS stores in the past, but not at this one.More specifically, when we visited for the US passport filing, the picture taking and the documents filing seemed very easy. The person who was helping us was in a good mood and answered our questions in a welcoming way. In the passport photo taking, they showed us the way to go to a room in the other part of the store and even agreed to retake another one when we didn't like the first photo.”

“In months/years past, the reviews listed below represent all customers that had no choice but to use Kingstowne PO - including myself. The staff were rude, angry, and treated customers as if we were interrupting their job, when WE ARE THEIR JOB. This was consistent and not just a singular event.But, I'd like to point out that in the past several months, there is a new Postal Team at the Kingstowne Post Office, and they are kind, courteous, and good natured in their assistance. This is a HUGE IMPROVEMENT from the staffing last year and years prior. Please continue to hire folks like them! I actually walk out each time relaxed and smiling. Love the Kingstowne PO team!!”
“I went midday and there was no line which was amazing lucky me! But more importantly the agent who assisted me was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and efficient. We live nearby and I'm very grateful that are experienced so far has been positive with this USPS store. Hope they are able to keep it up! “Every post office is overworked and understaffed, this one is no exception. I came to send out a standard passport application at my appointment time and Surbaya helped me. She was fast, efficient, and knowledgeable about how to work through the application. She knows what she's doing and it shows. And she was patient with me and all the other customers there with us who were also submitting passport applications. Thanks Surbaya for making my visit quick and painless.”
