“Can't speak highly of this place enough. During the fall season I take the kids there all the time and I make sure to buy something to cover the cost of admission so I don't feel guilty.”

“Impressive with all the highlights I wanted for my wife on our 43d anniversary. We are visiting McLean and I wanted a local florist with good Yelp reviews. Flowers & Plants was the perfect choice. Easy to use website, reasonable price and spectacular arrangement.

Oct 31st. You’ve done it again. A wonderful arrangement delivered right on time. Attached is another photo. I’m on the West Coast and am so glad to have a florist near McLean family that I can rely on. Thank you!”

“Stopped by this location for a fairly size project and was blown away by the staff, especially Kirsten. She went above and beyond, she was the kindest person, she didn’t know the answers to my questions at first but dropped what she was doing to assist me and find answers. She was Fantastic. Not a local but would certainly stop by again !”

“After reading these comments I was skeptical, but this place yes is over priced…as most fresh local garden produce is. It takes hard work to raise real fruits and vegetables. So if you don’t like it don’t buy it! Secondly, you crazy people in snobsville, leave your damn dog home if it’s 90 dogs. It’s their business and if they say no dogs on premises that’s the owners choice. Why do you people in this area think that we as a society has to bow down to you dumbness!I’ll continue to shop here!”

“Had an positive experience at Merrifield Garden Center near Mosaic! The greenhouse staff went above and beyond with my struggling Monstera plant. They not only took the time to repot it for me but also provided detailed care instructions. Their patience and expertise were truly impressive.

The level of personalized service made me confident about caring for my plants going forward. Will definitely be returning for all my indoor and outdoor plant needs. This is exactly the kind of knowledgeable, hands-on help that makes local garden centers special!”

“Working out of town on a project in Fair fax we came across this location. We needed to purchase some mulch and stone for a project near by and the staff was very friendly and helpful, fast service, and price was extremely competitive. We will definitely be using them again next time we are working in the area.”

“Silverbrook is a great Nursery right in our neighborhood of Pulte homes at Silverbrook Road in Lorton. For the last ten years we have consistently uniform service for landscaping work small and big. The employs are very productive, loyal and competitive. Honesty is their big element, particularly, Buzz, Tom, Cindy, Pat, Douglas and their employees are worthy of mention. I highly recommend them for quality landscaping work. A ChampaneriService: Stone landscaping”

“I don't know why I've never stopped by Miracle Garden Center before 2023, especially since I driven past many times over the years. I guess, mostly by habit, if I needed plants or flowers, I would drive a few more minutes up the road to the Home Depot, since I always thought HD was cheaper. I purchased my usual assortment from Home Depot of herbs (basil, cilantro, etc.) as well as a few tomato varietals in mid-March 2023, however, by late April most of the plants were dead. Granted, it was a colder than usual Spring season, but these plants should've been hearty enough to withstand a bit of frost. As I have a penchant for supporting small businesses, I decided to finally pop in the Miracle Garden Center, and departed asking myself, "what took me so long to check this place out?"Located off of busy Rt. 236 (Little River Turnpike), it is easy to miss this mom and pop business. Look for a white 1-story structure with the "Miracle Garden Center" signs affixed to the building. There are a few parking spots in front and around the side for easy access.Upon passing through the gates, I was struck by the sheer variety of vegetation ranging from indoor/outdoor flowers, mini-trees, and of course, plants for your garden. I picked up a few pepper varieties since I always love fresh chilis and got a fantastic price on some habanero, serrano, and Hungarian wax peppers. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have any Thai Chili plants, but the gentleman watering the plants indicated that their supplier didn't carry it this season. I also picked up a few tomato varietals such as Roma, cherry, and a Sungold. Of note, the Italian Basil, sweet mint, and Cilantro that I purchased a few weeks ago have also flourished in my garden since I planted them in late mid-May.No knock against them, but unlike my experiences asking questions of the staff at HD about frequency of watering, recommended amount of sunlight exposure, etc, the team at Miracle Garden are friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to share their their wealth of information. Now that I'm headed back into my office more often, I even picked up a snake plant for my desk, since this is a very "low maintenance" plant which is not only super easy to care for, but has numerous benefits (healthline.com/health/be…) including air filtration and oxygenation. Chatting with the staff, I understand they also carry seasonal items such as pumpkins in the Fall and Christmas trees during the winter. Miracle Garden Center is just the type of local business I love to support and recommend to the Yelp community.”

“What a wonderful little nursery. Really homey/community vibe. The two employees were super helpful in assisting me with selecting some native plants for two different areas of my yard and prices were pretty reasonable, maybe touch cheaper than at a box store or larger operation.”

“My 500 square foot family room carpet installation on 15 July 2024 was outstanding in every way! Christian and Maurice/Morris? were experienced, polished professionals with the old carpet/pad removal and new pad/carpet transition--meticulous clean up, too!
They were courteous, informative, and highly skilled with our many flooring power outlets, heat/A/C registers and step-down CUT-OUTS, and the required seam sealing for this large area remains absolutely invisible! They take pride in their work! I highly recommend Home Depot Fairfax for a pleasant carpet purchase experience from start to finish--no glitches! Thrilled!”

“I had to pick up a couple of new strands of Christmas lights cause good luck finding the bulb that doesn't work lol!Was happy to see they still actually had a large selection instead of being sold out like in recent years.Got two packages of lights, a new pot for my ever-growing, orchid, and a new cute little succulent. Literally, every employee I passed, said hello to me, had a big smile on the face and it was genuine and warm and welcoming. It was a really good vibe. Steven was my cashier and he was amazing! So friendly, helpful, and he also had a big warm smile on his face!”

“I have been purchasing equipment at Virginia Outdoor Power for over a decade now. They have great customer service and they usually have everything in stock. The only downfall is I feel like the prices are a little bit too much. I have since found other places to shop that are a lot more competitive.”

“I visited three different stores since Sunday and the customer service was nonexistent. I finally decided to try one more store and when I tell you I hit the jackpot with customer service, I'm not exaggerating. I have a hard time making decisions. I met Mark in flooring and he showed me the tile section. I needed tiles for my bathroom floor, wall, and backsplash. He walked me through the pros and cons, made recommendations, and helped me spend $1200. I was so relieved to have professional help. He was very knowledgeable about the products and professional. This man went above and beyond to assist to the very end. He loaded my car and ensured I had all the additional items I needed. I have never felt this happy about shopping ever! If you need tile, want a nice selection, and desire exceptional customer service, ask for Mark in flooring!!”

“This is the best Home Depot around. The workers are friendly, happy, nice, and welcoming. I've been here 8 times in 5 days, it's worth the drive if you need help or want advice. Store is stocked well, organized, clean, and well run.”

“I visited here to rent a larger tool that's not available at other, closer, Home Depots and Ryan went above and beyond to help make sure I had the best experience possible. He recommended considering a box truck with a built in, less steep ramp to take the 350+ lb tool rather than the pickup and detachable ramp with a much steeper incline that I had originally reserved. When he showed me the difference he was absolutely right and it made things so much easier on me when loading and unloading. Then he showed me how to secure it in the truck, educated me on how it worked, and got me on my way while making sure I had everything I needed. All while assisting his coworkers and a computer down. When I returned the machine and truck later the employees were surprised I'd been able to handle it so easily and I put that down to Ryan preparing me when he so easily could have just waved me on my way. I would absolutely rent from here again, especially with Ryan at the desk.”

“This review is essentially about Home Depot's access to the Bagster service. I had hundreds of pounds of old roofing that needed removal. You need a place to put the bag that they can pick up without interfering with overheads, like wires and space, like parking. It cost me about $250! And I could have loaded even more, but I didn't have time. They don't take old appliances etc. In under 10 minutes, they were done and gone. It's www.thebagster.com.”

“Wonderful garden department. Very convenient and store representatives are usually helpful or at least try to be (Ace Hardware has much better trained and knowledgeable store reps). Whenever any packaged product is bought, however, usually go to the hardware/fastener section to purchase real screws or hardware for the product, as sometimes the included hardware is of such poor quality that they don't hold up, e.g., screw heads that shear off when you use a power screwdriver - good luck digging out the screw post. Nails that are of questionable integrity and content. Stainless steel hardware should not rust. Nonetheless, very happy that they have and offer what they do, as they are very convenient. Also find their Android app to be very convenient.”

“They have what you need and if they don’t it’s conveniently located right across the street from a Lowes! The parking lot is always crazy here. The paint department always has a long line. Anytime I ask a staff member for help they point me in the right direction and are generally friendly about it.
In the last few months I think they have done a good job keeping the store clean.
Always walk around the store sometimes they have good deals on things you don’t really need but make life a little easier.”

“I had two brand new refrigerators ruined by BEST BUY installers leaving me with no fridge or freezer for almost two weeks. They then told me they couldn't deliver for another two weeks. I then checked online at Home Depot. They promised delivery in Three days! It was delivered, installed, the BestBuy broken fridge moved to my garage awaiting return. They took great care in not bumping walls and doors. The two men who delivered and installed did a fantastic job and were courteous and professional. I highly recommend them. What this experience taught me is that Home Depot knows and stocks appliances and Best Buy is just playing at it.”
