Great preschool with teachers who really care about their students. Both my children attended Good Shepherd Preschool and I believe their success can be attributed to the good start they received at the school. The playground has been redone and updated. Recently they have added an exploration station to their daily activities at the school. You could actually call this a STEAM room with activities that engage and stimulate the students' minds through science, math and technology. The preschool director and teachers not only care about the students educational life but they are very dedicated to the safety of their students as well. If I could give the school more than two thumbs up I would!

Good Shepherd is a top notch preschool. I am a former teacher and an assistant principal and can attest that I know a great learning environment when I see it. The staff is friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. The lesson plans reflect thoughtful planning and build on essential skills. The curriculum reinforces STEM and the field trips that are provided wonderfully enrich the students. I would encourage anyone with a preschool aged child to send them to this school. Many families in my neighborhood have sent their children here. I am now sending my second child after my first was so wonderfully prepared and enjoyed her experience so much.

Both of my sons went to Good Shepherd and had a wonderful experience. They both went for two years and each and every one of the teachers they had were caring professionals who truly loved and nurtured them. I love that they went on field trips throughout the year and were able to ride the bus, which prepared them for their transition into elementary school. They also went through their 5 day program and took advantage of the Lunch Bunch, which I felt truly gave them an advantage in Kindergarten and got them ready to go to school all day every day. The staff love being around the little ones, this place is very special.

My daughter went to this school 2 years. Great teachers and administrative staff. I would definitely recommend it to first time moms who are feeling anxious about putting their children in preschool.

This is our first year at Good Shepherd Preschool and we love it! From the moment I visited I was impressed with the warmness of the staff, the classroom set up, and the planned instruction. The teachers work on building excellent character traits as well as essential skills for reading readiness and motor skills to name a few. They also clearly know how to work with children. For example, before school officially begins the children may play in the Big Room (a large open room with toys, slides, basketball hoops, etc.). I've found that getting there a few minutes early allows my son to play and take his focus off staying with me, making the transition to then leaving him at his classroom door easy. I would highly recommend this preschool.

I am going on year #3 as a Good Shepherd Preschool parent, and I cannot say enough good things about this school. It is a warm and loving environment where the Director knows every student by name and the teachers play on the playground with the kids. On the day I toured the school, I had a good feeling right away, especially when my very shy daughter - then 2 - immediately started playing in the "Big Room." I have been amazed at all the things my children have learned at GSP, from the "coat-flip" to countless songs to how to find a Fire Exit. The classes take four external field trips a year - on a real school bus - which my girls absolutely loved. If you are looking for a half-day preschool program, I highly recommend Good Shepherd. You won't want to look anywhere else (I didn't!).
