It's so nice to have a gas station in the middle of nowhere late at night. I have to question myself sometimes lol...Anyway, it's late and I need gas. Thankfully this place is open, but hardly any of the gas pumps offers anything but regular unleaded gas so I don't care... as long as I can get up from point A to point B, I am off and running!Hooray for gas lol

This location is always struggled find an occupant that can last. Being one of the only modern gas stations in Brookneal, gas prices are much higher than in Lynchburg or South Boston. Almost to the point where you will drive away in search of cheaper gas. Given the distance to other service stations, this is not always possible. With only three pumps, many times you will wait for individuals to get their gas, then discover that they go in for food and other necessities prolonging your visit.I have never eaten at this location, as there are few places in Brookneal to eat, this station is not one of them. I've purchased items from inside varying from coffee to snacks. I have never found the attendants to be noteworthy or overly hospitable.Overall if you need gas, bypass at this station if possible.

I go here for lunch just about every day. Awesome food and service. They have the best fried catfish I've ever had. Everything taste home made. The bbq sandwich is good too as is their fried chicken livers.

After leaving Brookneal, I have lived in Gretna, Hurt, and Long Island. I work in Altavista, but have always had to go back to Brookneal for dessert. Brookneal EZN has the best! I was there today and got something called Hummingbird! OMG, it was so good! I also got the coconut pie for later. Still stuck on my favorite chocolate chess, but I pulled myself away today to try something new! So glad I did.

The best breakfast plate around, scrambled eggs and cheese are amazing, then after breakfast you can go into the 31 degree beer Cave and grab a 30 pack for the road,
