This place had my cousin vehicle a month after we broke down. They were super polite and nice the whole time.

Horrible service, even more horrible communication. They kept my boyfriend's car semi-hostage for SIX MONTHS as they strung us along, the receptionist lied over and over, the owner and/or mechanic refused to return phone calls or answer any questions about the timeline, said it was "just going on the lift today" when we got exasperated and said we'll just pick it up and take it elsewhere, then didn't do the work for a few more months, each time we managed to talk to them lying through their teeth. And then after we FINALLY got it and settled the bill, we ended up taking it to another mechanic who had to fix all the poor work done by Mountain View. Among other boneheaded moves, they put all the new tires on wrong (whitewalls facing in for some reason).
A local family friend recommended this place so highly, which is why we kept cutting them more slack, but that good faith was sorely misplaced. If they do not know you personally, you're SOL working with Mountain View.

Highly recommend!!! Honesty would be my first word I use to describe this place. Friendly, knowledgeable and their pricing is very affordable. I've used them three times and have been extremely happy with their service. Don't waist your time going anywhere else!

This place is great. They were able to identify and solve a problem that other shops around town couldn't figure out (even after three tries). Always on time, can fit me in quickly and have fair prices.

Took my truck for rear main seal repair . They did nothing. I needed oil change, oil switch replaced they called me next dY saying my truck was ready. According to them they replaced the oil switch I took my truck to another shop they told me the switch was never replaced I looked at it myself it was the same old oil switch. They charged me for nothing.. its a shame

These kind folks are car enthusiasts providing fantastic service at a fair price! Mountain View Garage swapped in a performance exhaust part to liven up the sound of my Mustang. Billy did a great job with the install work, quick & correct, and the rest of the team were super friendly—they all appeared to enjoy hearing my car fire up as I got ready to drive off. On top of all that, they charged less than HALF what a Harrisonburg garage quoted for the same work! I couldn’t believe it, I was so happy, and it was just too easy to leave a nice tip for their helpfulness & honesty. Thank you!
