I had an absolute wonderful experience in the Custer Dining Room at Bridgewater Retirement Community.I spent the evening with my family. The waitress we had was outstanding as she is my Niece. If you are looking for a quiet dine in spot to enjoy your evening, I recommend you coming to Bridgewater Retirement Community Custer Room or The Junction. One of the best places in the Town of Bridgewater to dine inside and eat. Delicious food, great people, and a wonderful community all around.

Bridgewater Retirement Community sincerely seeks to provide an excellent environment the resident and its staff team members as well. This creates a mutually supportive atmosphere that makes this a great place to live.

I've been working at this facility for a year and a half and I was so happy I had a great job with all the staff and clients The place is very nice and quiet and the customers are very friendly, but I have a question for everyone who sent their mom and dad to this facility why??? !! In my country, Iraq, we take care of the elderly and do not take them out of the house, regardless of their health condition. Their daughters and sons take care of them. In Iraq, no one dares to leave his mother for others to take care of her!!! I think each country has customs, traditions and conditions that differ from the other!!

Small pets are allowed but not disabled children should you have one living with you. My husband and I were considering independent care options at Bridgewater Retirement Community but it was made pretty clear that our son would not be welcome there. Beautiful place for beautiful people.

From the initial contact to our actual move-in, the process was handled by friendly, helpful staff members who made us feel welcome. Once we were part of the Village, neighbors and other residents we encountered continued to welcome us and assure us that we would love living here. And they were right! I am relieved to be living in a continuing-care community and I look forward to our future here.

I moved in my great aunt in the Bridgewater a couple of months ago. I am so impressed with the quality of care of the staff . Now that I am living out of state the staff are always willing to help my aunt and I get connected on facetime. I am so glad that she is at Bridgewater.

My wife and I started looking around some 5 years ago and found Bridgewater to be ideal. To be fair, our daughter attended EMU and our son works in the area so it was the logical place to start. Other retirement communities lacked things like the complete package of independent, assisted living and nursing. Others were nice, but isolated from their respective towns by distance and terrain. One sat on rolling hills with associated rolling sidewalks and not very good for any future wheelchair needs. Another was miles away from downtown and was neither walkable nor easily done on bikes.Bridgewater is flat and very walkable with the Post Office, stores, the North River, and an excellent theater (Sipes Center) within a mile or less. One can walk back from an evening movie thru the historical part of town with no worries as to safety. The Town has both a College next door, many parks, activities like an ice skating rink, putt-putt golf course and a nine hole par 3. Both BRC and the Town offer field trips to nearby locations like Skyline Drive (the ridge is visible from campus).Major shopping can be done in either Harrisonburg or Staunton which are close, but not so close to have to have the traffic or noise of a major town. A small airport is nearby with connections to Dulles and the Amtrak line has a stop in Staunton if you need to visit anyone further away. BRC offers weekly van trips to the stores up in Harrisonburg. You should always do your homework in selecting your next home, but once you start comparing ones in the area, I believe you will also decide upon Bridgewater Retirement Community and we can welcome you as a new neighbor.

It is a beautiful campus with a variety of persons. It is also what you make it…..if one is positive, encouraging and friendly, it is amazing how others respond, most often, in positive ways.

To move here is the best decision we have ever made. We feel secure in our future and know we will be as busy as we want with fun activities.

Very nice place to retire to, if you carefully have managed retirement accounts to afford it. My parents love it there.
