I would highly recommend this Marina to anyone. I looked into several marinas in the area before choosing them for our rentals. We decided to rent a boat and jet ski from them but sadly our vacation was canceled the day before check in due to environmental quality of the lake. I spoke with Conner and he sympathized with our situation and agreed to a full refund. We will definitely be using them next year and will always recommend them to anyone vacationing in the Lake Gaston area.

I was experiencing what I thought to be a leak in my steering fluid and called Poplar to schedule service. After describing my problem, instead of selling service, Lonnie offered something I should check myself first. He was right. I appreciate the integrity and professionalism, they are a first class shop!

I have a 2017 GS22 i bought from Poplar. Yearly service has been great. This is the first year i had some engine issues. Connor worked tirelessly to solve the problem and make it right. it was tough for a while, but he stuck with it and fixed it. You don't find many people these days with the drive that he has. Working late and weekends to get the job done. Thx Connor for the awesome help!

I have been boating my entire life, from Michigan to North Carolina.... And as we all know every single boat needs and requires servicing regularly..... My wife and I live over an hour away from Poplar Marine.... But no one will touch our 2014 Manitou SHP explode other than Poplar Marine.... This is the finest sales and service center you can find.... From Kevin the owner, to Lonnie my service advisor extraordinaire is more than any boat owner could ask for..... While our boat was in service my wife was blessed to have the company of Leanne (owner) while she shopped in her boutique.... My wife said "If you're looking for the best boating swag and fashion look no further than this beautiful boutique" .... Another great part of this marina is while you're waiting for service.... Or purchasing your new boat... You will find the accommodations at the Shady Shack restaurant and bar to suit your every need !!!.... With their hand crafted menu and wood fired handmade pizzas it is sure to please ! We have even scheduled to ride our motorcycle back to this beautiful marina just so we can grab a bite to eat lakeside..... Thank you Kevin and Leanne for an amazing experience !! See you soon! ....

We bought out Nautique from PPM in June of 2020..throughout the last 4 years we have had it into PPM numerous times for various warranty issues. We have seen some good and not so good service over the years, but we ran into an issue recently with our boat on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend...Connor with PPM went above and beyond to help us out get fixed for the Holiday weekend. His level of professionalism, effort, and unselfishness with his time were off the charts. We truly appreciate his efforts and the 9 teenagers we had at the lake also greatly appreciate him! Thanks again PPM and specifically, Connor!

I purchased a pontoon trailer from another location and immediately had issues … I was unable to remove my boat due to the issues but when I went to poplar pointe marina the staff came out and helped me not only fix my trailer they did it for free!!! Thank you so much ….

What a wonderful experience my husband Matt and I had when purchasing our boat from Poplar Pointe!! We first met Jack and he was the BEST!! Very knowledgeable and patient with us…we had lots of questions before purchasing our gorgeous Chaparral boat!The entire staff was amazing! We had a great experience and highly recommend Poplar Pointe Marine!!Shouts out to Copper and his dad Kevin and of course Sean!! You guys are the BEST!! We love our “new” boat!! The boutique is adorable and has fabulous stuff!! The restaurant Shady Shake is WONDERFUL!!! Food is excellent and the service even better!!For the record…I came up with the name for the boat…LOL….”MAKIN WAKES” !!!! Thank you again for EVERYTHING!! We love you guys!!

My wife and I enjoy all the services that poplar pointe and shady shackHave to offer. She spends a lot of time in the boutique and I enjoy the restaurant. The team at popular pointe is excellent! A very popular spot on Lake Gaston.
