Had a good experience there. Many VT items for sale and friendly associates. Good sale prices and able to get some merchandise for a really good deal.

These good people are wonderful. I needed a logoed shirt to wear to an event quickly in the DC area. They answered the call. Excellent customer service, quick shipping, the shirt is great quality with a crisp bright logo. Go Hokies!

I rented a total of six books from the Hokieshop University Bookstore over the course of the year; three books each semester. Upon returning the rentals in both cases, the employees told me I had only rented one book and had purchased the other two, refusing to give me my money back. When I picked up the books at the start of each semester, especially in the case of the second time, I triple checked that they were all available for rent. This is all despite the fact that all the books had "For Rent" stickers from the store clearly on the cover. In the second case, I was offered a total $7.25 to buy back my $100 worth of books. The employees in the store were all as nice as they could be about the situation, but the computer system is definitely not worth losing money! The staff suggested I sell the books on eBay to try and make my money back, which is the really the only option I have. There are other bookstores in the Blacksburg area, I would recommend trying them instead!

Terrible customer service. Staff will tell you one thing about their policies and then someone else will tell you the opposite when you need help. Return policy is very strict as well so make sure all of your books are correct and in good condition before buying here.

Super helpful staff! We left something behind after our visit and the staff were so friendly and gracious to mail it to our home that very day. Thank you Hokie Shop!

Overpriced, easily $20 difference for rentals compared to amazon. Then they also charge you an additional "Processing fee". Their prices are totally opaque and I do not know why they are not just a merchandise store like every other college "bookstore" seems to be becoming.Every semester I had some problem with my order or picking it up. This semester I had to pick up one of my textbooks early before they had my online order ready. Then when I asked them to remove that particular book they could not do it at the pickup desk. I decided they were not worth the trouble of waiting in line twice and just cancelled my order right there.Do not bother with ordering books here, just get them somewhere else before the semester starts.

IF I could give zero (0) stars then I would. Absolutely the worst University Bookstore imaginable. Inept, unprofessional, and should be closed down permanently since they are incapable of taking care of the clientele. Even the professors are disgusted with them.

I was coerced into buying my computer from the campus bookstore in the summer before freshman year due to the "deals" and "incentives" that they offered. My computer broke in the Fall of my Sophomore year and took it in for them to repair. It took 2 months for them to "repair" it the first time and they returned it to me just a week before I went home for winter break. I paid the $600 repair fee and went home. It, of course, stopped working again about a week into break and I had to return it to the repair center after break. They kept my computer for 3 months that time just to charge me another $600 repair fee. It's almost like they enjoy preying on broke college students. That $1200 was most of the money that I made the summer before. Really disappointed with the University and this bookstore. The two managers I worked with (a man and a woman) were extremely condescending and treated myself and the customers before me with disrespect. This is the first time I have ever written a negative review for anything. I work in customer service and understand that it is not an easy job to do. I also know that if I make a mistake, I own up to it and make it right. I pay my tuition and living costs like everyone else, it would be nice if the university and its bookstore could own up to their every once and awhile.

We bought a Dell computer (8/20) via mail and it had a problem almost immediately, and needed to be returned. Staff (Jon Mandros) dealt with the problem (emailed us shipping label) and when we visited campus a couple of days later he gave us a new computer, which seems to be working fine. Good experience.

Can't imagine a VT Pamplin Scool grad had the absolutely brilliant business acumen deciding to close at 3pm on a Friday and not opening again till 10am Monday! Head over to Campus Emporium on Main St downtown. Prices are better there too.
