“This thrift store is the real deal! Get your comfy shoes out because you should take the time to hunt through this place! Variety abounds! It was a thrifters’ store! You can easily spend hours in this store hunting through everything. I love that it is a nonprofit, and that the prices are fair. The staff and kind and helpful.”
“Local goodwill at Blacksburg, VA a not-for-profits organization. Very friendly stuff. Just beside food lion.Goodwill was founded in Boston by Reverend Edgar J. Helms, a Methodist minister and early social innovator. Helms created the Goodwill philosophy of “not charity, but a chance” when he collected used household goods and clothing in wealthier areas of the city, then trained and hired people who were poor to mend and repair the used goods. The goods were then sold or given to the people who repaired them. More than 118 years later, Goodwill remains in it's missions.”
“Little but mighty thrift store! This thrift store may be relatively small but it's packed full of treasures. My husband and I stopped by today and were excited that they were doing a 50% off sale for the day. There is a lot to see and many items caught my eye. I ended up picking out a silk scarf; it ended up costing just 50 cents because of the sale. My husband and I will certainly return to this thrift shop.”
