December 2023 by Ellie Vance
Very disappointed in the service I received. I sent my MacBook in for a screen repair in September, and was continually charged for “underlying issues” (up to $600). When I denied the services offered I stopped hearing back from them. It is nearly December and I still have not received my computer back even after calling the store numerous times. If I could give a negative star rating I would.

Staff is nice. But they misdiagnosed the issue and when returned other parts no longer worked

staff is nice but repairs take way too long. My laptop was not repaired completely after it was sent to apple and keeps freezing so I had to send it back.

Don't waste your time here. I dropped my laptop here for battery replacement, I said I had a recent conference in hurry, they took my laptop and said they could fix it in a week, then two weeks went by and nothing was done, I came several times to ask about the progress and they all just didn't know. It was only after the last time I got angry, then the manager checked the status and told me the battery hadn't been ordered yet. Do not be confused by name of store, they are just insulting the spirit of Hokie.

DO NOT EVER GET YOUR COMPUTER OR ELECTRONICS FROM THIS STORE! I would give it no stars if I could. They sold me a computer (Windows) that stopped turning on within a month. It came with a warrantee (two replacements), and I was on a loaner which I had to pay for for six months. Get my new computer and it stops charging six months later during finals week. ANOTHER eight months later I get my computer back that I turned in and THEY DIDNT EVEN FIX IT. Eight months of paying for a loaner and they didn’t even fix my computer and gave it back to me with missing keys and dirt all over the keyboard, still won’t turn on. On top of that, the loaner they gave me was extremely fragile (falling off keys and the screen cracked) and they’re making me pay for the whole thing. I now have a completely functionless computer and have to pay for the replacement of the loaner. This store looks nice on the outside but is poorly run and will give you products that will break quickly so they can cheat you out of more money. DONT DO IT.

Told me the latest I would receive my computer was the first day of classes. Now they are saying they won't have my laptop until September. People on the phone told me they didn't really know anything about my laptop and people in the store made me stand there for 30 minutes to tell me the same thing.

Bought headphones from them and went home to find them broken. Went back to return them and they told me all sales were final. I paid $15 for a broken piece of junk and they wouldn't even let me exchange them for another pair. Not worth coming here, way too overpriced for stuff that doesn't even work

Over priced garbage. Terrible selection. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

Do not take your computer there. They are not affiliated with VT and they scam students. Daughter took computer to get fixed they said they could not fix. When she went to pick up there was large dent in computer that was not there when she dropped it off. She asked for Manager. They said Morris was not there and if she wanted to take computer she would have to sign release. She was shown release on computer screen that only indicated that they give a 30 day warranty. She signed on screen and was given written copy. The written copy was different than what was shown on screen. A week of calling we finally were able to talk to Morris and he said they are not responsible for damages because we have signed release. What a scam. Do not sign on computer ask for written copy before you sign. Tuff lesson to learn but $500 later at Apple Store will fix it.
