Dr McCormick seen our guinea pig and I couldn’t have asked for a better Vet. With limited small animal/exotic pet care in the area I was worried about finding someone. Dr McCormick exceeded expectations with knowledge, table side manners and making sure I was comfortable with a treatment plan before leaving. highly recommend.

They charged me almost 500.00 for my cat just to tell me he was going to die. Did not do anything for him. Suggestion that I take him to Va tech or have him euthanized. I don’t know what they did never got a summary for why I was charged that amount. Wanted me to let them euthanize him right there and was surprised that I was taking him home. He died peacefully a month and a half later. I will never take any animals to them. Beware of this clinic!

We have used Companion for over 20 years. The Veterinarians and staff are fantastic people! My wife and I have cared for hundreds of cats over the years and Companion treats them like they were our children because they know that’s the way we feel.

Love this place so far! Our first visit was due to injury to my kitty. They did a minor surgery to relieve a brewing abscess. She came home, same day feeling right as rain and without pain. Well done!!
Reasonably priced and super friendly staff. I will be using them in the future for routine care for all my babies!

I’ve brought my kitten here ever since I got her and they’ve taken excellent care of her. I would recommend this place to anyone in the Blacksburg area. They even send reminder emails about when your pet’s annual checkup is!

I brought my two cats for a checkup and rabies vaccine. The staff were very professional and the Veterinarian very knowledgeable and allowed my questions as well as fully explaining all to be done. I would highly recommend Companion Vet Clinic.

I can't say enough good things about the team here! From the moment I found my cat, they were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They promptly scheduled an appointment for the next day and have since provided all his vaccines and checkups. He was also neutered here, and the care he received was outstanding.

I brought my dog Loki in for a checkup and an ear infection. The staff was so incredibly kind and considerate. They were very knowledgeable and handled my dog with perfect care. The Veterinarian and their staff explained everything very thoroughly and I couldn’t have felt more comfortable during a visit! Thank you

We had taken our Boston Terrier to Dr McCormick for 15 years , from first puppy visit to his farewell. Dr.McCormick and his staff have always been exceptional - we could not have had a better experience. Zorro always loved to visit Companion Clinic. They have been very kind, compassionate, and wise in treatments. We will always be grateful for Dr. McCormick and the staff.

I highly recommend Companion Animal Clinic in Blacksburg. Very professional but gives great concern and care for my German Shepherd. Doctor McCormick is excellent.
