I do "NOT" recommend Mrs. Lane as an insurance agent. If a couple is going through a separation, she will allow one spouse to come in the office and abandon the current policy, remove themselves, were they are no longer under obligation of payment, without even notifying the other spouse until it is all done. I was called and notified of the change after my estranged husband had left her office. I felt I had no choice but to temporarily accept it, in order to keep my vehicle coverage, however I gladly changed insurance companies after this crappy customer service. It was very dirty on both parties part. I should have been called when my estranged husband walked in her office. But in hindsight, she was personally texting my estranged husband on the day we were headed to get married, due to his request to add me as a driver on his policy. Some of her text sounded more like "friends" than a professional agent because I was the one reading/ answering the text, not him. I had an uneasy feeling then. When I called back to speak with Mrs Lane about the policy change and how dissatisfied I was with what happened, she did nothing to try to keep me as a customer. Mrs. Lane was very defensive and rude to me. Then, after I wrote a google review on her, she called my husband once again for another personal conversation and wrote me back a very unprofessional email response, using her company email, after I sent one to her for cancellation purposes. I knew she had spoken to my estranged husband, once again, on a personal level because she put specific things in her email to me that I only shared with him. Then my estranged husband "Mark Stapleton" later told me Mrs. Lane was the one who had called him about my review. Why didn't Mrs. Lane call the person who wrote the review...me? I was a potential paying customer just like my estranged husband. Mrs. Lane would have gotten commission off of my policy too, if I had stayed with Erie insurance. Mrs. Lane chose to show favoritism toward my estranged husband because he had been a prior customer of hers in the past for 10yrs. Anyone can look at her social media posts and infer she is not very professional at all. My "soon to be" ex husband, Mark Stapleton, even left a nice review on here for Mrs. Lane trying to do damage control, after the fact, when he should have done the right thing to start with, why not simply had Mrs. Lane call me while he was in her office, and told me he wanted his own insurance policy? It would have been nice to have been included in their discussion, since it affected me as well, so we could have all agreed upon a mutual plan moving forward. Insurance changes during separations are not always legal either depending upon the state. This is only "ONE" of the reasons we are divorcing...Mark always shows much more "narcissistic" loyalty/respect to people outside of his home. I hope Mrs. Lane is Mr. Stapleton's agent for years to come. I see now both of them share the same personality types. I am thankful I did not have to pay any of my own money toward her commission, because my estranged husband had to pay my policy up in order to abandon it. If Mrs. Lane must allegedly "flirt" with men to gain business, carry on. The sole purpose of this review is to warn other ladies.

Owner is never available because he takes vacation all the time .You try to talk to an agent but always in speaker phone and can't understand what they say .

My agent is close, reachable and willing to share coverage options and saving tips with me before my renewal. Coverage is reasonably priced and I'd recommend them to anyone.

If I could give lower than one I would. I have been with this group for years and Erie insurance is great but this provider is subpar. I attempted to cancel my insurance to go with another and was told I couldn’t because the owner had to approve it. This to me is extortion. I asked to cancel at the first of the month and they canceled early and they sent a letter to advise me stating I requested it. I spoke to the wise office on the day they canceled and the agent stated it was fixed and would be canceled on the first like requested but my letter stated otherwise. The agents in BSG ignored me and Pennington gap agents stated they could not assist me. I would recommend Erie but go with a different agent

I called the big stone Gap office had to leave a message my bank card had expired I was scared to death my insurance was gonna laps so I'm sitting in my car freaking out not knowing if my payment had lapsed and then my phone rang & it was Heather returning my call that I knew wasn't gonna happen because I called at 4:58. And Heather then explained to me how she could not leave her post as long as there was a message or e mail to answer I knew then I was talking to the insurance angel very kind , polite , & very courtease while being very professional she took care of my insurance only had to pay late fee the call I dreaded to make turned into a pleasant experience wish all employers could find workers dedicated like Heather .. Call or look up the cGroupe insurance ask for Heather see for yourself and save some money too

I have had Erie Insurance for many years, but I just recently had to file my first claim with them after my vehicle broke down and I had to be towed home. I called the Big Stone Gap office and was told exactly what to do to start my claim. The whole process took less than a week to file my claim, get approved, and receive my check in the mail. I was shocked at how fast it all worked! Erie is definitely the best insurance to work with. I love that when I call, I get to talk to the same people, whether it be my agent, Josh, or one of the other office workers. They always make me feel like comfortable and are so helpful in anything I need!
