This is a hidden gym and should be a welcome detour when you are on the Parkway. The chicken was amazing, and overhead other folks talking how good the pizza was. You won’t be disappointed.

This little market is a country store that has decent gas prices, friendly staff and a surprising collection of odd but necessary things you might need when out hiking, hunting, boating on the James or camping, or if you simply run out of things like dish detergent, muffin mix or need a good wine. They have "saved" me many a time when I needed a flashlight, tow rope, dishwasher soap, etc.

Convenience, convenience, convenience for those traveling on the Blue Ridge Parkway (which mostly doesn't have gas stations, restaurants, or other services). We were camping at the National Park Service's Otter Creek Campground when our "check tire pressure" light came in. We were directed to the H&H, which was just a few easy miles from the campground. The H&H is at an Exxon station, which offered air for our tires for $1.00 (4 quarters). We also purchased national park-compliant firewood and some much appreciated Hershey's ice cream (after our afternoon hike)! The shop has a little bit of everything, including some hot foods. One star off for the overflowing trash cans in the parking lot.

Tried for the 1st time this morning & let me tell you the breakfast sandwiches were better then any fast food joint , yall definitely need to give this place a try. Yummy! We will be back.

Used to be a homey place to go for a simple meal. But now, you can't keep the waitress off the poker machine long enough to do her job. We walked out the second time that happened. We wont be back until she is gone.

Had a long drive over to Bedford. It was very nice to come across this little market on the top of the mountain. I didn't go to the restaurant but it had a lot of patrons. Nice clean market with friendly people.

H & H is one of the least impressive convenient stores that I have ever visited. The floors are always grubby looking. Most all of the items on the shelves are covered in dust. The dried good items, especially the catfood, can usually be found with webs/worms/weevils coming out of the seems of the packing, indicating that they have certainly been on the shelves for far too long.

What an awesome little restaurant hidden just off the parkway. Friendly staff, great burgers and fries. Only about 5 minutes from the parkway and absolutely worth the time
