Would really recommend! The river was gorgeous and we saw a lot of wildlife. Was quick and easy drop off at our starting point. All the staff were super helpful (thanks Alex!).

A gorgeous view with friendly staff. However! Be aware of the river flow posted on the website and DO NOT GO DURING LOW or VERY LOW LEVELS. 80% of the trip was spent getting stuck, getting scraped along the bottom, scrambling over the ankle breakingest rocks, and getting stuck again. We saw several families tap out and venture off into who knows where just to get off the river because it was that tough. It's a sad day when all we wanted to do was have the float be over. Of course, we signed a waiver and all that so I guess thats on us, but just like if levels are too high and too fast, the business should consider closing for safety if it is too low!

We used their services for a church youth group outing, and they exceeded our expectations. Very friendly staff and reliable equipment. They kindly let us eat lunch on their porch after the trek. I highly recommend their company.

Got there first thing Sunday morning and we had the entire river to ourselves! Our driver out said it picks up about 10-11a, so take advantage of the early mornings. Super friendly staff, very reasonably priced, highly recommended! Thank you!

They open early, they're helpful and friendly, everything gets done quickly. We chose them because they had the most informative site, and that carried through in the practical advice and the annotated map they give you. I'd be happy to give them my money again.

The staff are all very nice but this facility is not equipped nor prepared to help you if you have an emergency or an urgent situation while on the river. This is unsafe and although you have to sign a waiver at the beginning, that is for their protection and not yours. Many other River Outfitters have boats of some sort that are equipped to go out and help people who have issues whilst in the middle of an activity and I would recommend people who are not in the peak of condition in every possible way avoid this facility and try one that has rescue/emergency capabilities.

This canoe kayak and tubes place is good! I bring my kayak and they shuttle it with the rest of our group they rent their own kayaks to. The stretch of river this company uses is supposed to be more serene than other parts which have mild entry level whitewater sometimes

We took a mid-week (Wednesday) canoe trip. We choose trip #3. It was a fun trip with some exciting rapids and the ledge. The last few miles were pretty dull once the rapids were over. The process was quick, and we didn't have to wait for a shuttle. The crew transported us right away to the put in and gave us the information we needed on the way. We will use them again next time we are in town.

I was charged $30 for transport of my own gear and later found out my friends paid the same amount for rentals plus transport. They weren't ready for my gear when we got out of the water, so I had to deflate my kayak and put it in the middle aisle of the bus, where people had to trip and step on it to get in and out of their seats. Otherwise, I'd have to wait "a really long time" for another truck to come. I asked about the transport fee when we got back since their website says a different price and I was dismissed. Protip - the campground that's a 1 minute drive from here charges $10 transport. I'll be going with them next time.

This might be the best rental canoe place for me and my crew. They have plenty of people to help and everyone is kind and available. They have a covered area to sit and chill while you wait for your leave time. The place you get onto the river -you can walk across and be there NO long bus ride if you don't want!!! I got off the river at a friend's house so I am not sure about the return situation. I was bought back by friends to the lot. When I was unsure about which craft to rent I was taken by the staff to look at all the options! They sugguest not to get a tube since the water was low and my canoe options were many! If you love to canoe, float, kayak or whatever down the Shenandoah River, you need to check them out you will not be disappointed!

Team was accommodating and very nice. River conditions did not match the map - much more challenging! There needs to be more information based on the water levels. We took trip #3 on 6/4/23 and it was rocky. Got stuck many times and had to walk on the shore at The Ledge. There wasn’t much down time to enjoy the landscape as we had to navigate from one side of the river to the other to miss all the rocks. You are on you own and there is NO CELL SERVICE. Ask lots of questions and download a real map of the River before you depart.
