Giving two stars because my first couple of visits went great. The doctors were so nice and worked well with my dogs.However the lack of stars comes with the lack of consideration from the facility I’ve experienced with them just through the telephone. A possible bordatella case in a cat coming from a home with 2 infected dogs in it, and my husband is told WITHOUT the cat being seen “it’s probably just allergies & we can’t get her in until next week anyways”My cat is 6 years old and has never had allergies, and hasn’t been exposed to anything new, EXCEPT bordatella. I understand being booked up, but I was on the phone with them the ENTIRE morning prior to being told & was given no information other than “someone will call me back”. Then they tell my husband they tried to call me three times but it went straight to voicemail, however I was watching my phone like a HAWK for that call back and have no records of the number calling me at ALL. If that WAS the case, I gave them my husbands cell phone number at my FIRST VISIT for that specific reason- and they never tried to call him either.Very disappointed and will be making further appointments elsewhere.

Dr Snively has been an amazing addition to my pup’s medical team. She explained my dogs diagnoses with me and shared with me all of the options that would be best for him. She also was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in helping him lose 30 lbs with educating us on calorie counting and the benefits of having a healthy pup. I can’t wait to see all the great things she will do with the practice.

Under new ownership in the last 2 months. This place is terrible. 2 1/2 months ago I was charged $50 to make an appointment to have my dog examined. Based on the exam I was quoted a price and promised the fee would be less than $600. I agreed and waited 2 months for the appointment. When I arrived at the appointment they refused to honor the price. “They stated that the previous owner habitually underpriced.” My dog had been suffering for two months. When I asked why wouldn’t you call me and let me know that. The new owner replied “Do you think I have time to look up everyone records.” Disregard all past positive reviews.

It's test after test, charge after charge. Have not gotten straight answers from their staff ever. There answer to every issue is let's do another $300 test to confirm the last test. We're moving on!

Good people, caring, compassionate. Prices for services are reasonable and they do NOT try to upsell like other vets offices tend to do. My fur babies have been going there for almost 20 years and I have no plans to ever switch to anyone else.

Dr. Tracy is awesome! She is so patient, caring, and compassionate… you can tell she truly loves her calling. Blue Ridge Animal Hospital has lovingly cared for all the members of our fur family for years. The entire staff is excellent and professional and they treat our fur gang like their own.

Staff were very kind, answered my questions easily, didn't make me feel stupid or guilty about any of my questions or concerns. As we're still in the middle of a pandemic, staff put on masks with no complaint when I answered in the affirmative when asked by Madisen if I'd like her to put on a mask when she saw ours, and veterinarian Snively also came in wearing a mask, which I appreciated as I'm immunocompromised. Handled my pet compassionately, her comfort was the utmost concern, which was encouraging. Only complaints are related to accessibility. Entry needs a ramp for easy wheelchair access (I had to stand and have my wheelchair hopped in in order to gain access to the building) and counter is too tall for easy wheelchair user access.

Very efficient and friendly staff staff. They have a definite love and compassion for taking care of animals. The do a great job setting appointments, and sending reminders . I like utilizing the online prt med ordering as well.

We have been with Blue Ridge Animal Hospital for our dog for just over a year now. We have been very happy with the level of service and care they provide for our dog. They're always prompt in responding to any questions or concerns. They're accommodating and they are caring!

Our dog has a terrible episode while at Smith Mountain Lake. We were desperate to get him seen and establish a vet down here since we have a home here now. Blue Ridge made sure we got seen coming of the July 4th holiday. After the receptionist calmed my wife's nerves on the phone the veterinarian spent a full hour at the end of a long day to make sure our pup was okay and going to get better. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Tracy and her staff.

Dr. Tracy and her team are the absolute best! I live almost an hour away, but the drive is worth it for the quality of care that my fur babies receive. I have tried other vets that are closer to home, but none provide the same level of care and attention as Blue Ridge. I love that they are a Fear Free and Cat Friendly practice. It really helps ease the anxiety of both pets and owners. They are definitely the best animal hospital in the area and the only ones I trust with my pets!

These guys are awesome. All of the vets here are great and very knowledgeable. I have senior dogs and they have given me more golden years with my fur babies. The staff is A-1 and helpful with all they do for our pets.

Dr Tracy is the most invested vet I've ever dealt with. She and her while practice genuinely love animals, and it shows with every interaction. We have a dog and 2 cats all go to her
