First time here. The food is good ?. The service and atmosphere were great. This is well and above the last two places that were here. Went at the start of Happy hour and with the half price appetizers you can fill up at good prices. I recommend the salad bar very good with good selection, also the hillbilly home wrecker was very good. We got the steaks, they were a little over cooked, and not as tender as I like but had a good flavor. And was delighted that you can have a beer or wine with your meal. (We did not drink). Was very impressed that we met Santa, the Grinch, and one of Santa's reindeer or a cute girl in a deer costume ?.

Outstanding in all respects! Breakfast and lunch. Have yet to do Dinner. From a few years in Vermont to a few years in California . From The Chanticleer to Compagnos Deli .10 Countries, 20 of these United States and two Combat Zones. People of Bassett...You have a GEM in your HANDS. The "Cook" is in my opinion a Chef and the Owners are in Fact...CHEFS. and it shows. In All Respects.

Welcomed at the door with smiles. Seated quickly. Drinks immediately. Order taken within five minutes of entering. Food was a 10! In quality, flavor and presentation. Waitstaffexcellent in all respects. Prices great. Worth every penny. Minus one star due to lady at register. Never smiled. Not friendly. Not mean but a bad influence on staff and detracts from atmosphere. No excuse EVER for not smiling when people are paying good money to make your business a success. If she is an owner thats really bad. We are hooked on the food and staff. Gonna be regulars. Please hire someone to work the register. She is obviously miserable and must not be allowed to interact with staff or the public. Otherwise, absolutely well done Hillbilly Diner! ???

The wife and I decided to eat yesterday evening at the Hillbilly Diner in Stanleytown, we decided to give them another try. The service was Awesome and the food was good. They have alot of good choices on the menu. I got their Buffalo wings and fries, my wife got the catfish platter and it was all so good. We will most definitely go back. I highly recommend. Very clean.

Food is top notch and also delicious. Myself and a close friend at there today 9/13/2023 and very appreciative of the quality and portion sizes! The staff wasVegetarian options: Large choice of side dishes which includes vegetables.Parking: Handicap spaces are visible and available eKid-friendliness: Everyone was courteous with no foul language.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of handicap parking!

Great little diner with well made fresh diner options. I've only ordered breakfast here but the food was good quality, fresh, and made well. Service was EXCELLENT. I'm looking forward to trying other things and updating accordingly.

Just got done eating here. The food is delicious. I had the popcorn shrimp basket and side salad. My hubby had the hamburger steak plate with a baked potato and corn. The food was cooked to perfection. The staff is wonderful. Especially Marie and her husband. I'll definitely be going back!!!Parking: Plenty of room for people to parkWheelchair accessibility: There's no steps and it's wide enough to get around the tables

I had takeout. The Roast Beef and Turkey Plates are so wonderful. Both meats was very tender and juicy. The gravy for both was so smooth and very tasty! My son and I both loved the cabbage, squash and collard greens. I highly recommend giving this place a try!!

Place was extremely clean owner came out and spoke with us he was funny intelligent an entertaining. The food was cooked well and was absolutely delicious! I had the hamburger steak homemade coleslaw Mac and cheese with a baked potato. She had the shrimp with seasoned fries and homemade coleslaw and she loved it. P.S. she's picky ?. We will definitely return. A wonderful experience and a nice meal in bassett finally!

Hillbilly’s diner just ate there and the food was awesome. You must try their chicken tender meal it is awesome and you will not leave disappointed Jay and his wife have finally opened a great restaurant in Bassett Stanley town area. You must eat there you won’t be disappointed.
