Sent almost $2,000 electric recliner back under warranty for squeaky headrest. Lugged heavy chair to store. Gone for weeks. Still squeaks! Happy retirement present!!Sad thing is we bought two. I will not buy this brand again.

Don't bother trying to buy Bassett furniture in Bassett, VA anymore. According to the only employee in sight, in the parking lot, they closed the actual store 10 years ago and all that's left is a fully stocked "faux" showroom that's deserted and locked. Just corporate offices and manufacturing now. Why they are still listed as open in Google maps is beyond me. They probably have no idea how to fix that either. So much for buying local.

I purchased new furniture for the first time in almost 20 years, and there has been absolutely no follow up after the sale. After waiting over 20 weeks for my new furniture, I filed a claim in March of 2022 for defective workmanship well within the 1 year warranty period. To date, September 9, 2022, the issue still has NOT been resolved. No one returns calls, including so-called supervisors. BUYER BEWARE!!! I would stick with La-Z-Boy or Haverty's or some other well known store with customer care that goes beyond the purchase.

I doubt I will ever buy from the Chandler AZ location again. So far after almost 4 months I have yet to receive the last piece of the order and only received the 2 lamps I fully paid for in Dec just a couple of weeks ago. The delivery of my $1600 rug was some driver throwing it up against my house as it was a rag doll not caring whether they damaged the stucco or the rug. I did receive another portion of my order about a month ago only to be told that they broke one of the pieces. That piece was reordered and now 2 months later I am still waiting on delivery. If I had know it would take a half of a year to get something even after it was paid in full I would have never done it. Buyer beware with this location or with Bassett as well. Really wanted to support American made but this is ridiculous.

Bassett has terrible customer service. I purchased a sectional from them in 2017. Paid around 5000 dollars for it. When it was delivered it looked nothing like what was in the show room. The recliner on left side had to be replaced after just a few weeks it was broken. Then I kept trying to deal with the person who sold it to me nothing was being done. The store I bought it from closed so I had to start dealing with the main Bassett office well it all balls down to where nothing can be done to fix my furniture. They told me to make a claim with guardsmans well I did. My claim got denied so because a claim was made I can’t even get a refund from guardsmans. Piece of advice don’t waste your money on guardsmans warranty. I paid 500.00 dollars plus tax and they won’t even help me. So I have furniture that looks 10 years old.

I purchased a dresser with soft draw closing. When the dresser was delivered the delivery people had to made adjustments to the dresser drawers so that they would close correctly. But after I put clothes in the drawers some of the drawers would not close right. I called the same day it was delivered and made arrangements for service to come and fix the problem. We finally made a date for service to come and when he did he just took pictures and had me sign a paper ( I thinking that is was for to say that he came.) Anyway, I hear back from Bassett and they say that the case is close and I told them no it wasn't because my dresser drawers were not aligned correctly, They informed me that the service person said that my floor is not level and that because I have my dresser up against the wall and in a corner that is the reason my dresser drawers is not closing properly. I took pictures of the floor and they informed me that there is a space which is so small between the floor and the base board and that is what is affecting my dresser. Mind you the space is so small that you couldn't even put a dime in that spot never less a slip of paper. So now they really don't want to come and fix the dresser drawers at all. Oh and yes they also said for me to move my dresser into another spot to see if the dresser acts the same way. I told them I am a 70 yr old woman and that dresser weights 300 plus pounds and every spot in my bedroom is taken so where am I suppose to move this dresser too. Mind you I had a dresser there in the same spot for 19yrs and never had a problem with the drawers. I don't understand why this is such a big problem for someone to come and make adjustments to the dresser drawers and making them line up right and close correctly. And also the back of the dresser is not one whole piece of wood, which I don't understand why. But I didn't complain about that because no one would see that being that the dresser is suppose to be against a wall. I have brought other things from Bassett and never had any problems. I Love their furniture but they really don't want to service you if something goes wrong with there furniture. I am very disappointed.... Read More

I purchased furniture from Bassett 4.5 years ago. The accent chair that cost me $979 is now thread bare and there are holes in the seat. I was told that "normal" wear/tear is not covered on fabric after 1 year.
