“I recently had the pleasure of visiting GameStop in Baileys Crossroads, and I must say that my experience was exceptional. The standout factor during my visit was the outstanding customer service provided by Amir. Not only was he knowledgeable about the products and games, but he also went above and beyond to assist me in finding what I was looking for. After a disappointing experience at another GameStop in Pentagon, this visit was a refreshing change. Amir's professionalism and willingness to help made my trip worthwhile. I will definitely be returning to this location for my gaming needs and would highly recommend it to others”

“Excellent game store with excellent staff and an owner who seems to really take an interest in customer wants and needs. I find myself making pretty frequent detours over to the Eastern Market station these days just to go browse here again and see if anything jumps out at me.”

“Perfect store for grands to spoil their bundles of joy. Elizabeth is kind, knowledgeable, and will allow you to indulge in your excitement over your new baby without a hint of impatience. Her products for sale are unique, high quality, and reasonably priced. The shop is bright, clean, and pleasant to peruse. I highly recommend it for next shower gift, or just to pick up a little something special for the ones you love.”

“- this game store is pretty nice, and has a pretty good selection of items and games.- place is clean and organized.- staff were friendly and helpful.- prices are normal for the area.- plenty of parking.- only disappointment for me is when I traded a lot of high demand retro games and stuff, I should have got around $140 but only got $85. I know how most of the games stores price their stuff cause I have friends in other states that own them and this place really low balls you in my opinion for trade-ins.- I'd recommend still checking out this place.”

“Yay! What a fun store! We visited this location in Springfield last Saturday. The kids really enjoyed looking at all. The different types of Lego sets and we built some throughout the store. We each got a Lego set to build at home. It was a lot of fun. I would definitely go back. Great spot for gifts too!!”

“Toys are expensive no matter where you go. This has the best selection for all ages. Please note : video games , mass produced stuff like hot wheels paw patrol are not really stocked. But awesome selection of Lego , art , games , science and other cool creative playthings. They also wrap which is absolutely clutch for dads who forgot to get the present during the week.”

“Possibly one of my favorite small locations I've ever visited. I initially went in thinking to expect videogames, but realized upon arrival that board games are what they sold. Nevertheless I browsed around and found some impressive mini paints and a couple awesome figurines (anime type) that you'd expect in a higher end store. While he rang me up I was expecting the 9 paints and 2 figures to be around 200, but when he gave me the price, I was spending around 80! I immediately bought a few more and the prices were still fantastic! Plus the gentleman Robert was an incredibly kind and helpful gentleman.TL:DR? It's a candy store for board games, their selection of paints or figures (anime, superhero, etc) is vast, and their prices won't gouge you unlike most other shops you go to!Can't wait to go back soon!”

“Don't be fooled by the name of this toy shop - Doodlehopper 4 Kids - it's not just for kids! As an adult, I still love shopping here for all of the fun and creative items they offer. In fact, visiting this shop brings me back to my carefree childhood days. One of the things that makes Doodlehopper 4 Kids so special is their fantastic selection of plush toys. From classic teddy bears to trendy unicorns and everything in between, they have something for everyone. And while the kids will definitely love these toys, I have to admit that I can't resist picking up a new plush friend for myself whenever I visit. But it's not just plush toys that make this shop so great. They also have a wide variety of unique and creative gift ideas, including board games, craft kits, and educational toys. Whether you're shopping for a child or an adult, you're sure to find something fun and exciting here.Overall, I would highly recommend Doodlehopper 4 Kids to anyone looking for a fun and nostalgic shopping experience. Don't let the name fool you - this shop has something for everyone, regardless of age. So go ahead and let your inner child run wild - you won't regret it!”

“Lil Waffle said "if they just stayed put at the register..." As if they don't have two floors of toys to stock and clean up after your poorly supervised children. You just want this small business with 4 rooms, 2 floors, and 3 exits to sit at the register and wait on you? Then when you leave, they can just spend the whole night doing everything else required to run a business. Even Walmart cannot stand by their 45 registers waiting for you, Walmart makes you check out yourself and then audits your work ethic on the way out. Idiot.”

“I was invited to my colleague's baby shower. I didn't know what to get. Staff were so kind and nice, they did a phenomenal job with gift wrapping (they got all kinds of wraps, ribbons, even cards). I always thought this place was some kid bookstore, gym, thanks to Google, I now know that this place sells dolls, toys, baby bibs, shoes etc. Really local, really nice, makes me want to go back to being a kid.”

“Tosche Station is an excellent local comic book shop tucked away in the indoor portion of the Huntsman Square shopping center. In a fairly small space it offers a very good selection of new and old comics, manga and toys. It also has a nice section up front for kids. I've always had friendly and helpful service from the staff. Tosche also hosts several events throughout the year that are fun for families and make excellent use of the shared space of the indoor "mini-mall".”

“If you're into antique toy soldiers, this house shop is one of the only stores left of its kind in the entire country. The man who runs it opens the storefront only on Saturdays by placing a sign on his rowhouse on Capitol Hill. Once inside, he'll answer any question you have about antique toys. If you are a collector, you'll find two large rooms filled with perfectly kept sets of soldiers from many ways priced at hundreds of dollars.”

“A great neighborhood institution and easy to reach via Metro or bus. It is a calm, quiet, peaceful shop filled with the best greeting card collection in DC, scarves, children's toys, gifts. “This doesn't pertain to any customer looking for a specific toy but I believe that it should be noted that the cashier Jackson is what a business should look for in an employee. I asked if he minded taking a photo of me and my family to remember our time in Alexandria before our move. He had no problem helping us with our problem. I highly suggest checking out this hidden gem. Thank you again Jackson!!!!-Adams Family & dog's”

“Came here with my son, two friends and their babies. We came to check out a story time sing along class. We made our reservations online ahead of time for $20/kid and 1 adult. This also included 2 hours of open play time afterwards. When you get there, you are greeted and checked in. There is complimentary coffee and water. They show you the cubbies for your shoes and other belongings. The storytime sing along with speech pathologist Corinne was awesome! I didn't think our babies (all under 6 months) would really care for the activity, but they loved it! So engaging, educational and fun! The open play area was very soothing and Montessori-esque with simple wooden toys and various creative stations. I do think the cost is a bit steep at $20, but if you do the class and your little one enjoys the open play time, it is definitely worth it! Will keep an eye out for future events at Nook!”

“If you're looking for a store with owners who genuinely care about their customers, then look no further than this one. I recently found myself in an emergency situation and was in dire need of some assistance. Luckily, I stumbled upon this store and was met with the kindness and compassion of Ms. Paula and Linda, the owners. These two women are some of the most kind-hearted people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They knew exactly what I needed and went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of. I cannot express my gratitude enough for the attention to detail, professionalism, and love that they showed me and my family during a difficult time.If you're looking for a store with owners who truly care about their customers, then you won't be disappointed with this one. Thank you, Ms. Paula and Linda, for being such wonderful human beings and for running a store that truly makes a difference in people's lives.”

“This was such an amazing experience for my partner and myself yesterday. We drove from Sterling VA over to this location and decided we would come in for ONE squishable each. The people working at this location were all so charming and professional. We were assisted with recommendations as well as imbued with a shared excitement for the products and we left with a total of 4 regular sized ones, 3 mini, 2 snackers, and 2 keychains. We really had so much fun and I look back and think to myself that I wish the car buying experience could have been half as exciting. We’re definitely returning for even more.”

“This year, due to obvious circumstances, my husband and I wanted to shop exclusively at local businesses for Christmas. This wasn't super difficult except when it came to all the kids in our lives. We didn't know if a local kids store, and we stumbled on this place. I was blown away with the adorable stuff in here. Yes, it's small, but that did not mean inventory was low. I LOVED finding unique gifts that I know my nieces and nephews won't get from other people shopping at big box stores. And with a newborn myself, I was thrilled to find that they carry Magnetic Me onesies (which we love). I am happy to support this small business and don't feel like I'm doing any favors in doing so because I feel lucky for the finds!”

“Soft, blush and squishy are the words that make this store a HIT! My son wanted a little something that gives him comfort and the items at this store checks all the boxes. The staff was friendly and courteous not to mention allowed my son to browse as long as he wanted. Anyone looking for a soft, cuddly toy for their kiddos, they should check it out. Enjoy!”
