Extremely disappointed In Experience I had at this store. I tried to use a 5 dollar off coupon and was told I couldn't for four different reasons (first was told it was because my daughter had used her own coupon and it linked to my account ??? I responded that does not make sense as I do not have an online act. Then was told okay coupon won't work because you Already got a discount on one item ??? Again I said that doesn't make any sense to me. So she got the manager. He came to tell me that my coupon would not work because It had been used before ????? knowing that the coupon HAD NOT BEEN USED BEFORE, I let him know that no that was incorrect And no it had not been used, he replied back "how do I know that". I responded "because I am telling you I haven't and how would I HaVE it if I used it!!????"? (The cashiers take them when you use them) and he stated that many cashiers were more relaxed with that (basically talking crap about his company employees. Which side note : I have used paper receipt coupons on Saturdays at Dollar General for a LoNG time and have NeVER had any issue uNeil yesterday and have NEVER had any cashier hand the coupon BACK to me after I used it. NEVER) so he continued to tell me the coupon had been used and there was nothing he could do to help. He even had the nerve to tell me "I can't override it either" when I never asked him to override anything. All I asked is for them to explain to me why my coupon wouldnt work. After they tried to feed me 4 different stories, argue me down, basically call me a liar when I told them the coupon had never been used, and look at me like i was thief trying to pull a fast one - I paid for my things and left. I then called the district manager and was immediately told that Dollar General had a glitch that day and the same thing was happening at other places. Valid coupons were showing as already used. Wow. She was super nice and very apologetic!! The store manager however was so rude and condescending and just plain prideful. He didn't know why my coupon wouldn't work and got upset when I wouldn't buy into his employees made up stories as to why it wouldn't work. Instead of making a quick call and finding out they THEIR computer system was wrong - they chose to treat me like a liar and thief in front of my Child. I will never go back to this store and as of an hour ago, I've had three different family and friends state they wont either after hearing my story of how awful and mistreated customers are at this Dollar General
