The price was very good for my dog friendly room. Everything looks modern and clean. What could use work is the quality of the renovation.Overall, it is a very good value for the price!Rooms: The quality of renovation is poor.

Google showed $69 rate but I was charged $80. Room was unclean with noticeable mold around the shower and multiple lights not working. Loud noises in hallway kept me awake as did something that crawled across my leg. They don't deserve using the word quality in their name.

I left a pair of doc martens in my room and through the help of the wonderful Ali the hotel clerk at the time we were a me to find them!!He was such a help to me!!! And I am so very greatful!!Come and say hi to Ali! He's the best!

Had hardly drifted out suddenly my roommate awoke me asking to possibly identify the tiny insect roaming his pillow. I instantly felt dread as I rolled out of bed to take a peek. It's unmistakable what I was looking at. A recent fed fat to the neck BEDBUG was running back and forth glowing blood red! Perhaps a coincidence perhaps sure, popped it & took to locating another for confirmation. Didn't take about 30 seconds to spot a second (pictured). That was the nail in the coffin, quickly gathered our belongings & scattered. The clerk offered another room, we denied relocation not wanting to endure further crease searching.Noteworthy details: Blood sucking creatures are lurking.

The hotel was a mess. It was like someone tried to put makeup on a pig. The elevator stunk, the wallpaper was peeling, there was rust all over the bathroom, chipped paint, the refrigerator looked like it went through a rock tumbler, there was a used fork and spilled coffee on the desk and the carpets were old and gross. Honestly the only positive is the sheets looked clean. I would not recommend at all.

Our first room had roachesNext room had an oder of curry onions that made me sick3rd room had dirty towel and wash cloth in the bathroomIt was late and new years eve so we were stuck spending the night...would not do it again!!!!!The breakfast looked good but only grabbed items that came in sealed package because of the roaches in our roomGarbage piled outside in back..I'm surprised they don't have ratsLocated right off main road so it's very noisy...glass on back door cracked with only masking tape holding it together

Do not stay here! We stayed one night after going to Kings Dominion's Winterfest. The room was absolutely disgusting and dirty, the safe was ripped apart, phone was sticky and missing it's cover, half of the lights didn't work, no hot water, food spilled on dresser, next to fridge was spilled old food and drink, headboard was covered in God knows what (see pic where I wioed a clean spot), carpet hadn't been vacuumed, there was excessive noise from the hwy, someone's large dog continued to bark all night, and to top it off the maids banged on our room door at 8am to clean the room we had until 11am (we also hung the do not disturb sign on the door). We all slept upsidedown in the beds when we could sleep because the headboards were so gross. We all just drove from SC and played at Kings Dominion until 1030pm so we were exhausted and just wanted to sleep and leave as soon as possible! I've stayed at many hotels and this one was one of the absolute worst! However the front desk staff was kind.

I think the only way to describe this place is that it serves it's purpose. I wouldn't pick it again but it did the job just fine.High Points:- Clean Room. Kind of.- Decent Bed- Paid $80+ tax and fees- Free BreakfastLow Points:- Room right next to Hwy 95 (Yeah, it's as loud as you imagine.)- Extremely thin walls- Extremely squeaky dryer (Even down the hall I could hear it in my room.)- Lumpy pillows- Our non-smoking room smelled like someone had smoked in there non-stop for the previous week. (This is a deal breaker.)- Free Breakfast was missing several elements.This location has been recently remodeled but it obviously sees a fair amount of abuse from the clientele. You know, the sentiment... "This is why we can't have nice things."? Well, I think it may apply here.We only needed a place to break up our holiday drive North and it did just that.All staff were friendly and helpful.

Horrible customer service and hotel has HUGE cracks in the bathroom, the toilet set slid right off and the lock did not work. First I called to ask about making a reservation I asked the price and I was giving a quote when asked about a pet fee and possible military discount the answer i got was “the best I could do is $85” I asked about avaiblity he said yeah just come in and hung up.. Okay nice but it’s a busy travel weekend and I didn’t want to chance not having an hotel since we have been calling around for 2 hours or so.. for an 14 hours drive and can I give you at least my name? So I called back and asked if he needed any information he said no just come in.. okay so we did. I walked in and no one at the front desks so my husband and I walked around and nothing.. he even yelled hello a couple times nope nothing so I called the front again and he answered and said he would be right down? Also it’s not even late it’s about 8pm so why aren’t you at the desk? After he gets our reservation set up he tells me it’s 99.07$ .. I said is that with the discount and he said yes .. okay fine but then the credit card machine says 100.07$ I stated it said that and he fought me on it and said no it’s 99.07$ we went back and fourth that’s it’s only 99.07$ okay I put my card in (my mistake) then my account charges me 100.07$ I said it charged me 100.07$ then he said oh it’s a holding fee?… okay THEN I had to pay the pet fee separately that’s when I said wait a minute you said on the phone all of this I would be $85 and now it’s 115$ with a military discount then he got rude with me. At check out we got our bill and it has not but about a discount but “it’s in there” I know there was no discount. OH and best part is my account was charged another $1 for holding so he lied about the extra dollar too. So no discount, horrible rooms, horrible customer service, and took more money from me than needed or agreed upon. My mistake was stopping here after the first call I had with them but we were desperate. Never again. I have already contacted corporate so we will see.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had in my entire life. Reserved two nights for a weekend Kings Dominion trip. When we arrived we pulled out the fold out bed and found the mattress crawling with bed bugs (see picture). The receptionist gave us a new room but this one reeked of mildew. They also only had one pillow to give us for the foldout bed. At that point we were too tired to care so we delt with it.The following morning, multiple family members developed food poisoning after eating at the hotel breakfast station. Upset stomachs severely impacted our ability to enjoy the amusement park.When we got back to our room, the battery had died in our door lock and we had to have staff unlock it. We then discovered that our room hadn't been cleaned and we hadn't been given any clean towels. At that point we just drove through the night to get home rather than spend a second night. Absolutely terrible experience.

So, I'm reading Joe's review from 2016 where he mentions"The hotel is new, modern, and clean. . . Even as a new hotel, I'm seeing things that should be kept up on, and can imagine how conditions will be when this hotel is just a few years old. . . What was definitely lacking was a warm reception by staff. No smiles or a simple greeting,"Well, he nailed it! Seven years later -- it's DIRTY! The shower curtain was moldy, the extra covers were thrown into the closet unfolded (and pretty sure unwashed), the window leaked and was NASTY, there was (someone else's) trash left under the bed, no mattrees pad -- sheet to mattress and the elastic was sooo warn out, it did NOT stay put.Breakfast? I'm not eating there. Bread box was empty, OJ watered down, waffle batter too and everyone had to use the same cup....very few choices (okay, two, there were two choices.) Attaching photos ... do you'll know where NOT to stay!

It's on the side of the highway so it's very noisy in the room. It was clean enough but definitely had peeling wallpapers in the bathroom. Did it's job for sleeping one night. Would I stay again? Probably not. It was very loud outside with trucks moving around.
