I needed a set of long feeler gauges, which is kind of a niche item as standard sets are only a few inches in length. I was greeted by a lady named Kristina who immediately knew where to find what I was looking for and actually found two different sets, each a foot long, which are perfect for the job, so I bought both. And this is not a unique experience at Hanover Tool. The folks there are friendly and knowledgeable and I have yet to walk away without the right tool for the job at the right price. One of the gauge sets was even made in the USA, which is always nice to see and support.

I've never herd of or been to a Hanover store, but today a salesmen from Hanover came to my shop with a pick up truck full of different tools. He was professional and knew the products he was selling. He had the prices and information on each item memorized, most tool salesmen don't. I believe I got a good deal and I appreciate good service.

Hanover tool had a good selection of name brand tools and open to the public not just contractors and mechanics. They do not have any prices marked on tools you have to ask a salesman. They do that because people who have accounts get different prices than cash and carry. That's the only thing that I don't like. Price the tools in the shelf. That would be a big help the the cash and carry customer.

They generally will have all the basic and most specialty tools you need. Staff is knowlegeable and friendly. In the past they will generally help build packages on discounts for a large muiti-tool purchase. I have been shopping there for many years and will continue to do so. They are packed in there so finding what you need can be tricky but if you ask the staff they will lead you to it or get it for you. Great place if you are just starting a mechanic career or a seasoned vet looking to add to your tool collection.

Hanover Tool made sure that I was ordering the right tools for my job and sold me quality tools at great prices. I can't find that kind of service at chain auto parts stores. I can't make it by Hanover when they're open, but they shipped it to my house and I got it the next day. Will definitely be my first and probably last call every time I need automotive tools.
