“A very unique and charming bookstore located right on the railway in downtown Ashland. It has old school feel with tons of vintage books inside. A very night older gentleman was minding the store when we came in, I think he may have been the owner. He was very nice and cordial. You might need his help finding what your looking for, I think its kind of "I know where everything mish mash". My daughter found a book that she like, so we sat for a few minutes and read, before we made our purchase. Local store, owned by a local person, you should stop in, have a friendly conversation and find a book you can bring home!”
“Excellent ~medium sized book store. Owner was very friendly and knowledgeable, but also happy to let me browse underdisturbed when I was the only one there on an early weekday.Stock seems like it's a mix of up to date things and more used items they bring in from the back. Owner was friendly enough to add me to their email list with a few notes on what I'm looking for in case it passes through in the future, which I really appreciated.Would recommend if you'd like a nice book browse. I came away happy with a couple of sci fi finds.”
“Great sized Barnes and Noble store with plenty of selection, but if you're looking for a very specific selection call them up ahead of time/ place an order to see if they have it in stock. Lovely staff and overall a great experience!”
“They seem to have had a good variety of calendars toys those type of things I was disappointed that they did not have very much in The Nightmare Before Christmas line”
“It's THE bookstore. Ok, so your super new books "may" not be available right now, but they get shipments weekly AND so many good used books to select from as well! They have a great kids section, guitars and vinyls, board games, and merch! They have tables with genre based selective reads along with the latest 'book-tok' choices! LOVE this store!!”
“Best "bookstore" of any college or university I've visited! It has more variety in not only the type of things you can find, but also the variety within each category! There are the usual items such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, etc. & much more...Christmas ornaments, ties, belts, garden & full-sized flags, a slew of tailgating supplies (including canopies & side panels, chairs, tables, koozies, etc.), greek life items, spiritwear for kids & pets, school supplies (notebooks, electronics, etc.), collegiate life necessities, & so much more! And this is in no small part due to our beloved Barkley, who has always made not just our bookstore a special place for purchasing items, but also special for supporting students whether they needed a hug or a full-fledged Barkley visit to have an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, or some advice. Additinally, the bookstore staff, mostly students, are always smiling, inviting, helpful, & never intrusive! The R-MC Bookstore is truly a special place where you'll find much more than books!”
