Great vet clinic. The staff is great. The prices are reasonable as well and they don't seem to try and push you in to paying for more services than absolutely necessary for a sick pet.

I have been bringing my pets here for years. Never have issues paying for anything and it's always costly. I don't even care I just pay for it because I love my pets. I also like the Doctors. My mothers dog (also a patient) that I typically pay for- died today. I'm at work so I called to let them know not to ask my sister for money as she was dropping him off. I even told them to look up my account so they can see who my dogs are and be reminded of the fact that there's never been a concern for payment. I also said I would be by after work to pay and pick out an urn for him. While I appreciate them not asking her for money I find it totally classless that they would call me and tell me they had to take payment before they could do anything with the dog. I asked who asked her to call me at first she said "the office manager", then I asked her again and she said "the practice owner" so I asked who is the owner? The receptionist said "Dr. Campbell" so I asked if she was available and she said no she was in surgery. After telling me everyone was on lunch because it was the middle of the day. I don't care what anyone is doing I would like someone to explain their rationale. If you have a client paying for everything all of time whether it's $200 or $1200 why are you insisting on prepayment of $239 or whatever for our dogs cremation when everyone's in a heightened emotional state. I understand running a business but you should also understand: building a rapport with your clients, case sensitive, considering the source, emotional intelligence. Sometimes you can have a successful business by means of trade and not an aptitude for interpersonal skills. They may be veterinarians but not good business owners or what I suspect, their receptionists and office managers have little to no training or education. It's crazy.... People spend a lot of money on their pets and the fact that we've been going here for years and they can't wait 4 hours for someone else to come pay is ridiculous. I can guarantee the folks picking up for the cremation services will not be there in the next few hours. I'm seriously reconsidering using this clinic. I can't help but be offended!

They were able to work my cat in for an emergency visit, but let us know the wait could be long, but that helped us prepare ahead. They gave us treatment options with prices and explained what could be wrong (her symptoms were not straightforward) and they called the next day to follow up and check on her. Everyone was very attentive and answered all of my questions and didn't rush through anything.

Dr Gretchen and staff TY. A hundred times for taking care of Satchmo today. His clipping is perfect!!! And even more so that you all took the time to accomplish that feat without sedation! Thank You, he is his normal self already and I know so much more comfortable! You guys are the best!

I have been using this vet for the past nine years. and I drive over an hour just to come there because I trust them. my pets mean everything to me and it's heartbreaking to write this but the quality from the support staff has gone so down hill that I have been seeking out a new hospital. I would personally love to speak to Dr Campbell about some of the things I've had to deal with over this past year. my appointments being cancelled less than an hour before it was supposed to begin, not accommodating with another doctor on the same day, forcing me to take an appointment that didn't work, THEN telling me the wrong time TWICE so I ended up sitting in a parking lot with a miserable dog. calling for a euthanasia appointment and being treated like a burden during THE WORST TIME having to put my animal down! I have no idea how they have let it get worse and worse and worse over the past year.

Very caring, and wonderful staff. My dog had to be put down suddenly, and the staff went above, and beyond to try and make it as easy as possible. Thank you so much.

Wonderful Vets and staff. The vets are amazing and actually call you on the phone after your animals appointment. I can’t say enough good things about this practice.

Always accommodating with my crazy schedule. Super friendly. Worth the trip home to make sure my babies are taken care of. Though my cat screamed her displeasure the entire way down.

I am beyond disappointed with this practice. I have been a loyal customer to this practice for 4 years. I have 3 dogs and a cat and have spent thousands of dollars here. I am beyond disappointed with this practice. I have been a loyal customer to this practice for 4 years. I have 3 dogs and a cat and have spent thousands of dollars here. We sent our 15 year old senior dog here this week after he was not feeling well, they sent him home to us with medications in worse condition than when he walked in there. He had to be carried to the car. 15 minutes after returning home he collapsed. When I called back to tell them what had happened, they advised I take him to the emergency veterinary office. He passed away at the emergency vet a few hours later. When I called to let Ashland Veterinary know, I also asked if they would allow me to return the medications that they had sent home with him ($200). All medications are unopened. The front desk staff were very nice about processing this request and compassionate, however it was denied by the owner. I was advised to hold on to it, "in case I need it for my other dog", who is 3x the size of the one it was prescribed for. I checked the laws to make sure returning RX meds was not something prohibited by law, it is not. It is discretionary to the practice. I will not be returning here with any of my animals, ever again.

I can’t thank AVH enough for there care, professionalism, and obvious love for animals (and their humans). My elderly cat was sick and we had to make the decision to let her go. All of the staff I encountered were so kind, understanding, and supportive. In this Covid time, everything is crazy. Despite the rain, the staff took the time to stand outside my car and offer condolences. Along with my memories, I also have her paw prints and lock of hair. Thank you for making this awful time more bearable. If/when we get another pet, we will definitely be bringing them here.
