We did the free trial and our son loved it! The trainer is amazing, i like that he's not going easy on the kids. The kids learn respect and to be focused very quickly!

Kaizen MMA has been great for our 9 year old son. They provide very reliable and safe after-school care and he gets to learn jiu jitsu skills while there - so it’s a wonderful combination of sports class and childcare! The teachers are really good with the kids and I would highly recommend!

Great dojo with a variety of different classes for people with different goals. Whether you are a serious martial artist, just trying to get fit, or want your child to learn a martial art - there are different classes offered for each. Sensei Vlado is a very knowledgeable, skilled, and patient instructor in both striking and grappling arts.

Our son has been a student with Kaizen MMA Ashburn for a little over 2.5 years now.Our family has nothing but wonderful comments about the dojo and the instructors. We were looking for a safe environment for our son to learn self-control, patience, self-defense, and respect. After joining and spending (much) time at the dojo, we’ve found so much more. Our son was diagnosed with ADHD shortly after joining Kaizen. At first, we were a bit nervous he wouldn’t have the focus to learn, possibly losing confidence and giving up. We’ve experienced quite the opposite. Given Sensei Vlado’s vast experience with children of all ages and personalities, our son has learned so much, he has grown significantly and has nothing but respect for his teachers. This dojo can feel like a home away from home for the kids and the parents. We often watch the classes with our younger daughters or join the “parents' night out” and camps events. The kids make friends (of all ages), are in a safe environment and get to wrestle and act silly without getting reprimanded when on break or enjoying play time. The teachers (Sensei Vlado, Sempai John, and Sempai Oleg) have great relationships with the kids in different ways. Sensei Vlado is strict, a disciplinarian, but is very kind and fair. He is loved by all the kids. Even by our younger daughter’s, who never hesitate to run up to “Sensei” for a shoulder ride while he instructs or want to show off their “kicks” after watching a class.Sempai John and Oleg are great instructors. They are respected by the students but also act as big brothers in a way. One of my favorite things to witness after class is how the kids go from respect and attentiveness during class, to jumping on their coaches in a dog pile without hesitation once they are dismissed. If you’re considering an MMA dojo for your kids, definitely give this one a try!

We have been going here for almost 3 years now. What is truly unique about Kaizen MMA is the style of instructions and the values and character imparted on my 8 year old.Unlike some other dojos/schools, this is NOT a dog and pony show. The emphasis is on resilience, practical skills and conditioning. When my son is pinned on the bottom, he is encouraged to keep on fighting/contending, to strive and never give up.Sometime, the little guy get a bit stunned by the punch or kick (by gloves with helmet on) of another kid, he might run back to me, but then insist on heading back in to the fight, after a drink of water.I do keep a very vigilent eye based on my own experience with MCMAP/Army Combatives/JKD, but the instructors are exceptiobally patient and watchful to prevent locks, chokes and injuries.I try to bring my son here 2 to 3 times a week, covering both striking and grappling with a conditioning class on Saturdays. Occasionally my wife and 5 year old daughter joins us for conditioning as well (but it's hard to get everyone out of the house in time). Nothing keep me going and pushing out my reps like some snickering from my boy. In short, it is a REAL father son bonding time. The fact that a significant number of parent are from military families (some with personal experience with martial arts and training) attest to our consensus that this place builds REAL skills that our kids will need in life, on or off the mat.

Sensei Vlado is outstanding!!! We had our twins in his class for many years. They have grown up in so many ways and are more confident, reliable and strong due to his classes. Sensei Vlado has not only been a great teacher to our girls, he has also been a reliable addition to our family. Incredible soul who truly cares about people, kids, and the families who join his dojo. We highly recommend him!

I happened to stumble upon Enshin Kaizan Ashburn by accidents….me and my wife were looking for boxing/kick Boxing training places around the Sterling/Ashburn area and after visiting a few, all of them seemed to be tailored for customers who wanted to get a good workout ( bag work). None of them offered teaching techniques ( if they did, it was exorbitantly priced) or sparring sessions to gain real life experience. I googled martial arts training & my phone took me to this obscure location in Ashburn. I decided to venture in and was instantly intrigued by the simplicity of the place. No fancy equipments, just a big hall with Matts. I spoke to the person in reception and realized this might just be the place I was looking for. They offered me a week (4 classes: kickboxing, Jujitsu & Boxing + Conditioning training) trial and I could make a call if it was indeed what I wanted to pursue. I didn’t have any prior experience in MMA other than a year of boxing (with a heavy bag) so needless to say I was slightly apprehensive going into my class. Long story short, this was the real deal with focus on learning thr fundamentals of fighting while honing the technique rather than hard punching. They had drills thr Sensei would explain & the students would execute ( in addition to light sparring). I signed up 2 days later. I would recommend this place to anyone who’s looking to get into learning thr art of fighting as a hobby, or thinking about going into amateur level fights & so forth. I should add that, there are no egos here & everyone I’ve met there is willing to take the time to explain the entricies of a move (technique) in detail.
