I went to Illusions with four girls ages 8-17, for haircut and blow dry. I chose to go here because they compromised on fitting all four in. Naheed did a great job on three of the girls, but the other stylist took a long break and delayed one of the girl’s appointment time by almost an hour.
The reason I am giving the salon a poor rating is because of the manager, who wouldn’t budge on the pricing for the cuts. On their website, they state the girls hair cuts are $55+ and women’s $65+ but don’t mention any age range. To my shock, each girl was charged $90-$100 for their haircuts, $30 to $40 more than the price advertised on their services list.
I asked the manager to give a small discount given I was paying $100 more than I expected given the prices on the site. Even a small discount for the youngest would have been appreciated, but she wouldn’t budge. I was very disappointed by the lack of empathy or care for the client’s perspective.

Brian was so great helping me work through a hair emergency, instead of charging me for a haircut, he showed me how to style so I can wait for some new growth. I will revisit Brian when I get that hair growth.

Susan just washed, cut and styled my hair. She was very thorough, asked what I wanted and didn’t want. My hair looks fantastic - so happy I found a hair stylist that didn’t butcher my hair! Great cut and awesome layers (as expected)! Thanks Susan!

Nahid has cut my hair multiple times now and does a fabulous job. She is thorough, makes sure she gets everything right and leaves you with the best hair you could imagine. I've visited her for a blowout too and my experience was great! Highly recommend. I have thick hair and sometimes stylists don't know how to manage it. Not Nahid, she is pro.

I went to Susan at illusions hair salon & spa in Ashburn and I HAD THE BEST EXPERIENCE OF A HAIR SALON IN MY LIFE. She listens to you and does the exact same thing you asked her. She did a great job and I highly recommend her.

Do not get your nails done here. This review is based on nails only. Cannot do dip powder at all even tho they advertise they can. It came out very thick and uneven. Kept informing her it looks unacceptable but she is unaware of how to fix it. Completely unknowledgeable of how to do nails. Also it took 2.5 hours. I have been getting my nails done for the last 15 years and this is the worst place I've ever been to

My experience has always been great at this place from the beginning of making an appointment till the exit . Staff is very friendly and polite. Thanks to Susan who always performs my hair cuts with great precision and perfection . She is extremely nice and understanding . I have not seen any other barber till date who will happily perform last second changes with such smile and enthusiasm.

I really wanted to love this place. I had a simple service today, spa pedicure and gel manicure. I left there disgusted by the experience. I had polish peeling off the sides of my fingers. Polish all over my cuticles and the most unappealing nail shape I’ve ever had! The nail tech which is NOT licensed and can barely speak English was not practicing hygienic procedures at all. She was very kind and I believe she was trying her best, but she is certainly not a certified trained nail technician qualified to provide services. She dropped brushes and supplies many times throughout my service, would pick them up from the floor and continue using them on me. She used the same brushes on my nails that she used on my pedicure. She was pulling hair out of polish bottles. The amount of dust and filth throughout that salon is appalling. I’m concerned about the health and safety of those in my community who may frequent here therefore I’ve filed a formal complaint with the health dept. who will investigate my claims. I advise you do not have services done here.

It's a place run by Koreans, and you may be a little hesitant when you first see the price range, but it seems like it's worth that price, or even more... The male teacher who cuts the hair is really meticulous. As you can see when you try the hair, they communicate really well and the hair thickness is great. Understand the outcome at once,
I tried my husband's hair today as a test and I was very satisfied.
I also made a reservation for my eldest child’s haircut.
If you live nearby, don't hesitate and visit us with a photo of the hairstyle you want.
