Despite numerous attempts to contact them, both by phone and in-person, I've had no luck. Their office was closed during working hours, leaving me unable to talk to anyone. This has been going on for days. To add insult to injury, they've raised my storage fee by $6 a month. One would expect better service for the higher fee. I'm seriously considering leaving this place.

Building was great but I am still waiting for a refund for an billing error on my credit card. This firm said a check would be mailed. It has been over 6 weeks and still nothing. And they do not return calls or emails. Currently I can not recommend this place .

Wonderful experience, I’d you happen to find yourself at this location ask for the manager by the name of Tommy Watring. He has an amazing attitude towards finding what’s right for you big or small. Anything you need he’s the guy to go to! Thanks Tommy!

Great staff to help me sign up. Good communications from them. Easy access to building and my unit. Facility is clean and secure. Close to where I live, and for now a good price....hopefully will stay that way!

Great staff when they are actually there! Beware if you need any help paying or with your unit, went 3 separate times during normal business hours to get help from the staff or to speak with a manager, and the office doors were locked and there was a sign posted with a time they would be back. I waited in my car until the posted time, but no one showed up. One day I went first thing in the morning at opening and the office was locked. Not sure what's going on, but the office hours are not consistent with what's posted.

The facility is nice, but I’m paying 3x what I signed up for just 2 years ago. Don’t believe the posted prices unless you plan on staying less than 6 months.

Horrible experience, all my stuff were covered in mouse droppings and dead mouses, we even have a nest done in the middle of my sofa and to worst all manager never have the courtesy to call back after my many attempts to get in touch with them. Horrible customer service

TL;DR--terrible customer service, nonexistent client management, unreliable facility access, exorbitant rent increases (13-16% EVERY 6 MONTHS for the last 2 years).I signed a lease with Self Storage Plus on July 1. I rented a unit on the 3rd floor. That day, one of the elevators had just broken down. When I arrived on July 5 with 3 movers and a truckload of furniture/belongings, a fellow tenant informed me that BOTH elevators were inoperable.I spoke with the on-site staff member who told me he "could unlock the stairwell if I just had a few small items." That wasn't going to work as I had lots of heavy furniture.I asked for an estimated repair time. He couldn't give me an answer. I explained my situation and that I was paying the movers by the hour. I tried to wait it out and repeatedly asked for updates, answers, etc. I asked to speak to a supervisor but he told me that wasn't allowed.It later transpired that the elevator company wasn't going to schedule a repair until SSP paid an overdue balance (at least this is what was relayed to those of us waiting for an update).The attendant offered to check availability at this location and another. The ONLY offer made was to give me 3 separate units. That is NOT what I agreed to in my lease.While I was waiting, there were at least 3 other tenants who came by, frustrated that they were unable to access their property. One tenant said she was there the day before when the elevator broke and got stuck on an upper level! Another had a U-Haul rental, running up the clock.The attendant, at one point, confirmed that the elevator(s) had broken down the day before (July 4). When I expressed incredulity that 24+ hours had passed without tenants being notified, his response was "Well, no one was here because of the holiday." I can understand not having someone at the front desk for a holiday. However, to not have an emergency contact or on-call staff is completely illogical and unprofessional.After ONE FULL HOUR ($190 in moving fees) with no resolution or any update, I elected to go to another facility that could accommodate me. This facility is actually costing me almost $100/month more and is NOT climate-controlled. Not my preference but I was left with no choice since the movers had another appointment.I had to follow up with SSP 4 times via email over 3 weeks before finally hearing from a supervisor. Aside from her rude demeanor and lack of professionalism, she (as a representative of SSP) refused to acknowledge any fault.While I agree that there are matters beyond control (i.e. elevator malfunction), the mismanagement of this entire situation is disgraceful, especially given that this seems to be a recurring problem (2x in less than one week). The complete lack of accountability or remediation speaks to their "customer service."When I mentioned to her that management should have sent out an email or broadcast phone notification upon learning of the elevator malfunction, her response was "We don't have a blast email system, we'd have to email people individually." First of all, SO?! If your facility can't perform and allow people access to their belongings, then YOU PUT IN THE WORK. Second, it's not hard or expensive to create a client database. In fact, it's a pretty common sense business practice.During my conversation with this supervisor, I was consistently interrupted and talked over. She retroactively offered me a free month's rent (which does me no good now). She seemed to be reciting the party line of "Too bad, not our problem." The lack of basic customer service, or even common respect, was appalling.SSP is clean and has an accessible loading dock and good parking. But I'd still choose the hot, outdoor storage facility (Extra Space Storage!) for their guaranteed access to your unit and friendly and responsive customer service.Additionally, we have a business account at SSP. RUN!!! THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE. Whoever was working 7/5/22 did not answer phones for the entire day. I have tried calling several times. The elevator was broken and they waited several hours until putting a sign up to notify individuals of the issue. The emergency line does NOT work. 7/4/22 there were multiple individuals locked inside of the building on multiple floors due to faulty front doors and both elevators were down/stairwells were locked. No one could get in contact with anyone for help. Next time I get stuck in this place I’m calling Loudoun County Police. It is exhausting lugging all of your belongings to a storage unit to be met with such unprofessional people. There is always a sign up saying people are away for 30 mins at a time.

I moved out of a different storage place in Ashburn to this one because the other one raised its price too much, and I was already paying too much. I got a larger unit for a lot less here. The customer service is great! I really wish I remembered the name of the person who had helped me because she was excellent. My first month was free. The building is very secure, and they have a lot of dollies to help you move stuff. The location is great because it is somewhat secluded yet easy to get to. I only stayed at this unit a month because I ended up no longer needing storage. I really wish I had used this storage place first instead of using the other one.
