This company told me that the carpet cleaning would cost about $135. The cleaner showed up, and asked for $360 because we wanted shampoo cleaning and not just a vacuum (we had already agreed upon a deep shampoo clean because why would I pay someone $135 to vacuum my 1,000 sqft apartment...). We settled for $200 because (1) I felt bad for the cleaner who seemed unaware of the original agreement and (2) we really needed the carpets cleaned. After the cleaning, the carpets were completely soaked, which could cause mold, and a puddle of dirty water in the kitchen that the cleaner noticed but refused to mop up. Afterwards, I noticed that reviews online had suggested that this may be a pretty normal experience with this company.
My suggestion, ask for the price and when they inevitably show up asking for 2X, 3X, or 4X more than originally agreed upon, tell them to leave. Don't feel bad for them; don't let them scam you.
