This place is awesome, honestly a hidden gem for car service and inspections. The staff was kind and willing to explain the inspection requirements, and service is done at a very fair price. I fully recommend servicing your car here!

I'm very happy with the service staff and work I had done. They gave me a price for all of the work and told me what needed to be done now and what could be put off, with no pressure to spend more.

Two great things about Shirlington Shell. They are honest and very proficient. Example: had a free oil change for my Honda Accord at dealer. Dealer tells me I need new CV boots because mine are cracking. Take it to Shirlington. Ray shows me the CV boots, shakes his head, and says there is nothing wrong with these things. Never had to replace the boots. This scenario has happened multiple times over the 25 years I have taken my cars here. Funniest one was the last time I took my daughter ‘s camery to get a warranty part put in dealer comes back and says I need a new oil pan because pan is leaking. Cost around $1500. Take it to Shirlington and they charge me $10 for a new plug. This was about three years ago. No oil drips. Pan and car are still fine.
If you go to Shell for a safety or emissions inspection know that the inspector is thorough. That was less important to me when I was young. I just wanted the pass sticker. With teenagers and a wife driving things are a little different. What I do appreciate is when I take the car in and there is an issue they tell me the things I need to fix now and what I can stretch out.

I can’t speak highly enough of the team at Shirlington Shell. From Edwin to the technicians to the cashier, everyone was phenomenal. I absolutely trust their word, they are fair and honest and priced moderately. The work they did on my car was awesome and I will be back for future work. Thank you again for everything.

Pulled up at 4:30pm for an emission and state inspection. Was in and out in no time.

Most bad experience I got in here, I wa to Toyata they gave me some work to done, I have done this, then went to their for inspection for my sienna, they says some rong work I should done.

Shirlington Shell is listed as a full-service gas station. It is not the best place to take your car for inspections, and some of the staff have become reluctant to assist with filling tires. There are two nice people eager to help.

They broke my hubcap and didn’t install it back. When I called to complain, they told me to return for the installation. Upon my return, they installed it with zip ties. When I spoke to the manager about the zip ties, they explained they broke the hubcap during removal. They offered no compensation, instead suggested I should purchase replacements from Amazon, stating “those are cheap and break easily.”
(First, they did not disclose they broke it, second, they did not take accountability at all, their narrative sounded like it was my fault to put cheap hubcaps.)
Last night, the zip ties broke, causing the hubcap to come loose on a two-way highway and hit a motorcycle from the opposite direction, causing the rider to fall off !!!! I trusted them with those zip ties ( they’re the professionals ) instead they created a safety hazard and put me and someone else in a dangerous spot.
