The doctors at this practice are generally mediocre. I took my daughters here for three years but finally switched practices because the doctors don’t know or care about the patients — the wait times are incredibly long, only to have the busy doctor come in for 5 minutes and leave. The doctors don’t know or remember the patients, and they show little concern for our concerns. Dr. Sumi Sexton in particular is quite careless—we’ve seen her exclusively for both children for years, and she never remembers any of their medical issues. Another time I called the emergency line because my newborn was sick, and the doctor on call was clearly tipsy and made clear she was annoyed that we bothered her. But worst of all is the billing staffer, Maria, and her supervisor, Allison Brockington. Maria is rude and incompetent and quickly becomes argumentative when you inevitably have to point out an error in her billing calculations. She ignores phone calls and hangs up if you try to correct a billing error she made. Her supervisor is no better—she threatened to withhold care from my child when I called her to resolve a billing discrepancy, and she was condescending, immature, and unprofessional during our entire phone call. I’m truly surprised a doctor’s office would employ individuals like this who lack such basic judgment and skills, but I guess I shouldn’t be surprised given the general lack of care this practice shows for its patients. I definitely would not recommend this practice for anyone or their families.

My family and I have been patients thru Primary Care Glebe Rd for over 10 years and they are simply the best. All of the team is courteous, attentive, thorough and great knowledge. Part of the family. ♥️ No complaints.

I am no longer a patient with this practice but was for 8 years. I saw Alison Broadbent (PA) who had to deal with a complex problem she (understandably) did not know how to treat, but she could not tell me what kind of specialist to look for to treat it, so I did not get any help.I then saw Dr. Benchoff who insisted I didn't have any problems, I was just a woman over 40 so of course I didn't feel well. Then she told me that if I had more than one symptom (like a headache and a stomachache at the same time) I would have to pick one and make another appointment for the other. Just a complete refusal to acknowledge that I had a health problem, and that health problems can be systemic and present multiple symptoms.I saw Dr. Saxon for a separate issue involving followup after an emergency room visit--she curtly told me I should have made an appointment at their office instead, even though they did not have any appointments for the next 2 weeks, and I was vomiting/dehydrated for 3 days when I went to the ER. The ER said I was not going to make it another 2 days when I showed up there...so how was I supposed to wait 2 weeks? In 8 years I never had a good experience with this practice. Just letdown after letdown.

If I could give this practice negative stars I would. I had a terrible ordeal regarding my 5 month old. After my husband noticed her head shape looked off, we asked the doctor to take a look at her wellness check-up. She agreed it looked a little off and wrote us a referral to Cranial Technologies. At our apt with Cranial Technologies we were informed our daughter was in the “severe” category for needing treatment and next steps were for our primary care doctor (Dr. Gebremariam) to sign a prescription validation form so we could proceed. I called the office for two days straight pleading with them to please have the doctor sign the form and that this was a severe case. After leaving message after message, I was contacted by the Dr. Gebremariam’s medical nurse who proceeded to raise her voice and tell me I was calling the office too much and that the doctor would sign the form when she was ready. When I tried to explain the severity of the situation she then cut me off repeatedly and raised her voice. At the end of the call I said thank you, and she hung up on me. The next day I received a message through the portal from Dr. Gebremariam to please treat the staff with respect. I was floored. Not only had the form not yet been completed, she hadn’t thought to ask what my point of view was from this interaction. We have since moved our daughter to a new paediatrician. I called the office the next day asking to speak to someone (an office manager, or anyone who would hear me out) was told someone would call me back, and big surprise, they never did. This is a medical practice where you are a drop in their bucket. Especially if you have little ones, I can’t recommend this practice less.

Been going here my entire adult life. Doctors and staff are curtious and give their full attention to patients. About a year and some change ago, my primary care physician, Dr. Houston, detected appendicitis that I didn't realize I was experiencing (I thought it was just a stomach ache). Thanks to her care, prompt hospital reference, and follow up, I am still alive today.

This office suffers from staff turnover and - God forbid - you are late for an appointment or have to reschedule an appointment. You will be waiting months for a new one. Save yourself the hassle - Go elsewhere for your primary care.

I have been going here for decades. It is great that you can be seen same day for sudden illnesses or accidents. The PA diagnosed a rare and obscure disease in me a few years back - pretty impressive. Always thorough and thoughtful care here.

I unfortunately have had bad experiences time and time again at this office. The staff and doctors have both been extremely rude to me and are always rushing me off the phone when trying to book appointments, ask questions, or confirm prescriptions. I am actively searching for a new primary care doctor.

It pains me to leave this review.... I have been coming to this office for over 15 years. Sadly, the customer service, care and management has gone down hill. This place has turned into a joke and I wouldn't recommend anyone waste their time here.

I have been coming here since 2007 when I resided in Arlington. Now I drive a little farther to come because of the long-standing tenure with my primary care doctor. The customer service and overall climate in the doctor’s office has declined since 2007. Interactions are curt with individuals who take in-take in calls, nursing staff, combined with incredibly long waits sometimes as long as 45 minutes to well over an hour waiting to be see . While my interactions with my primary care doctor are fine, the rest of the practice hasn’t been that great.

After our physician left this practice our family decided to try and stay with the practice. After calling to schedule a routine annual physical I was abruptly and rudely informed I was not a patient of theirs and they weren’t accepting new ones. So much for that guess they are soo busy they no longer even need to be polite.

I have had nothing but issues with his doctors office they are very unprofessional they are very rude if I need anything done or paperwork submitted from this office I always have to end up going to the office the day that it needs to be submitted to get it completed it's never filled out right the people who answer the phone are very rude the office manager himself is very unprofessional I would never recommend this place to anyone especially if you have an ongoing illness that would need attention immediately they do not get back to you within 24 to 48 hours it's just all around a bad place to go

Recently was referred to this practice, and was really pleased with the new doctor (Dr Engel and her nurse, Fatima.) I did not feel rushed at all - they went through all my questions, were really empathetic and the follow ups were quick/efficient. Thank you for keeping humanity at the core of medicine still!

Strongly do not recommend this practice. They are not in the business of patient care when you are sick - they - only want patients who they can screen for 10 min or less and charge your insurance for a 2 hour “annual” visit. When I saw what they were charging my insurance company I believe it’s borderline if not crossing the line for insurance fraud. Their office staff is extremely arrogant and not patient friendly. Making an appt takes nearly an hour.
