service was not great. felt super rushed and like i was an inconvenience. ended up stuck with $160 shoes that i’m not happy with because the sales rep who helped mereally didn’t listen to my preferences after 10+ years of running experience. I felt like i was treated differently because i don’t have a typical runners physique

Amazing customer service experience with Christian. He was professional, attentive, friendly, and let me take my time. He is extremely knowledgeable on each type of shoe and insole, answering all my questions in detail. He wanted to find the best fit for me as much as I did! Best shoe purchase experience I’ve ever had.

Needed to update my sneakers so I dropped by the Potomac River Running store at Ballston Quarter. I was helped by a polite, professional and courteous staff member “Adam.” From the moment I entered the store Adam showed me everything Hoka. If you’re into running this is the store for you. So glad I stopped by. Was dealing with tight ankles and calves while jogging.Maddie was super helpful. Got my feet measured and in some properly fitted shoes. Can’t believe how big of a difference it made.I just ran farther than I’ve ran in over 15 years the first time wearing them. It was night and day.

Causally walking around Ballston Quarter and stumbled into this place. I was immediately greeted by Christian. And I gotta tell you, this was A1 service. I got my feet analyzed via their in house device. And Christian had recommendations ready. While trying on shoes, you can even watch your feet on the treadmill with their camera setup. I went with some On Clouds and I do not have any regrets. Definitely go to Christian if you need any assistance.

Friendly and helpful staff! I got my feet fitted and they were very patient and attentive even though so many people were coming in to the store. Definitely recommend coming here.

I stumbled across Potomac River Running with my friends and was immediately greeted by Christian. He offered to help all of us get our feet scanned to see what types of shoes would potentially benefit us in our running journey. Once Christian scanned my feet, he sent the results to me right away and offered me a few recommendations, such as the Hoka Clifton 9s, as well as a variety of Ons. Christian was not only super friendly, but he is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to the products in the store. He also helped explain certain terminology that I was uncertain about. I ended up walking out with some new shoes that I am excited to test out.Would highly recommend Potomac River Running, and I would like to give a huge shoutout to Christian for being such a great employee to work with! Someone please give him extra kudos, and a raise!

Christian was amazing to work with from beginning to end of finding proper running shoes for upcoming long distance races.Very informative and friendly. We started with analyzing feet to determine type of shoe needed. He brought three different types of shoes to try on around store and treadmill. We discussed how each shoe felt before deciding on the right shoes. Highly recommended!

Running late to work but decided to stop by the place to check it out. I have never been there before. I rarely try new things. Today I was going to buy new shoes. Had basically 15 mins to the Transaction before I had to run to catch my bus to work. The shoes I currently was wearing I were uncomfortable I usually wear 11 but the shoes I had were 12. I stepped into the store and was greeted by Adam. He was polite and listened to what I needed. He got me started by taking a scan of my feet to take measurements. And then got me a pair of basic shoes. They were black and bottoms were blue. It was fine and felt alright like a normal shoe would feel. Got me 2 other pairs to try out. I went with these black ones that I have pictures of. He told me that they have a cushion for people who step walk on their heel first. It felt nice and bouncy to my step which was comfortable. He gave me 12 and a half for more room. There was another test I was interested in which is they have a pressure plate thing to measure your step to help find a good shoe for you but it was not working. I don't know if that machine would have helped me pick out a better shoe but it seemed cool. Good service and nice people. The shoes were pretty pricey, I paid 175 your going to have to have 200 bucks disposable. Your probably getting a lot of value is how I justify the price. I'll think I'll come back to see the other products I missed on. I can't post another review for this store but I'd would give it another 5 stars for their service I had on 12/8/22. Today, I went over to try again with the pressure plate to find out if they would help know more about any products they would recommend. I was helped by Raffiel and we did the same process as before. This time after he we did the pressure plate test I learned more about my feet. More pressure on my right side of my foot because its dominant and learned about how my foot rotates outward. He recommended that I get some insoles. I ended up getting the Curex's dynamic insole supportstp relief & comfort. It was 65 dollars. I normally don't ever buy insoles or wear them but he gave me enough knowledge about insoles that it convinced me that I could use them. Hopefully they are beneficial. I read some posts where it says the place very patient and I definitely see that.
