Great place to have colors mixed, they know all types of paint and can tint anything. I especially come here for venetian plaster since they're the only place in NOVA who carries it.

Potomac Paint & Design Center has been my go-to store for three decades, providing impeccable professional service in paint products and design. In a recent exterior project, Haleem spent much time and effort to create just the right color for me to semi solid stain an ancient deck on my home to modernize and preserve. I am pleased and grateful. I wish there were more than a five star rating! Highly recommend.

I have been coming to this store for a few years, and they are my go-to paint store for high-end paints and wallpaper. In fact, there are very few places in the area that actually sell wallpaper. Their main paint product is Benjamin Moore and they have several of their proct lines as well. I also have received great customer service from the various employees with whom I've come in contact with, There is one employee in particular school works during the morning hours who is extremely knowledgeable about the various types of Benjamin Mooore paints. This store is wonderful and I would highly recommend them!

I'm not a pro, I'm a homeowner who's been painting for 40 years. I've visited a number of paint stores and never had better customer service... Potomac Paint is the best. The manager Haleem, is so knowledgeable, helpful and full of advice. It's a real pleasure visiting this store, the entire staff is so pleasant .

The customer service is always very helpful and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of colors and paint. I’ve purchased paint from here for my entire house (inside and outside) and always have a good experience.

Not very knowledgeable staff at least on weekends… I called before driving from DC to see if they had a specific Farrow and Ball sample pot and was told yes. I also noted I needed a specific primer for that and asked if they had that too. I got the feeling the staff person didn’t want to take the time to check - he said, pretty sure, yes, I can look in the back and have that for you too… something along those lines. When I arrived I was told the Arlington location ONLY carries sample pots! Total waste of my time. And I’m in DC so gas too, 30 mins there and back.

This store charges a 30% “restocking fee” for unopened, returned wallpaper that the wallpaper company Thibaut accepts. I ordered the number of rolls suggested by the “designer” in the store; it was way, way too much. So, the store kept $126 for restocking the one roll of wallpaper. I do not find them consumer conscious nor consumer friendly.

I've been using them for years with no complaints. Last week, I pointed out that the price they were charging me for a gallon of paint was about 9 dollars more expensive than competitors in town, and asked that they match competitor prices, as I had done several times before. They encouraged me to go elsewhere if I was not happy with the premium price charged. That is what I will do. So long, Potomac Paint.
