Dogma Bakery - Village at Shirlington
2772 S Arlington Mill Dr, ArlingtonLove the selection and range of healthy dog treats at Dogma. The staff at the bakery are so nice and helpful, even going the extra mile of quickly cutting up some meat treats for me when I was in a rush for a dog training appointment. Dogma is the perfect neighborhood shop for my pup. So happy to continue supporting this small business!

Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Arlington
4550 Lee Hwy, ArlingtonI stopped in yesterday to pick up my dog after the grooming and she looked GREAT! I told the front desk lady the cut I wanted and my dog returned with exactly that, even though there was some matting. My little Cavapoo, Lucky, loves it there! Great store and great people. The groomers do a great job. Thank you Woofgang!

URBAN PETS PAWS
2809 Columbia Pike, ArlingtonI've brought my dog here 3-4 times for grooming. I always make my appointment via text and Carel accommodates our schedule for dropping off. She always communicates when our dog is almost done so we have a 20 minute heads up when we can pick her up. The cuts have all been good and our dog seems well cared for.

InStyle Pet Grooming
6504 Williamsburg Blvd, ArlingtonWe've been taking our dog Cody to InStyle Pet Grooming for several years. Our dog is always happy and looks great when we pick him up. I also appreciate that Becky, the owner, is so diligent about asking for proof of rabies vaccination before she will accept a dog for grooming. She cares a lot about both her furry and her human clients.

District Dogs Clarendon
2820 Wilson Blvd, ArlingtonGreat experiences with bringing my dog here! She always leaves happy and tired. The report card with photos after daycare is a nice touch (the photos I added to this review are from the report card).Great staff members that are friendly and enjoy being around all the dogs. I have a small dog who is dog friendly but nervous around new people, the staff clearly knew how to handle it as she is now best friends with all of them. We've even seen some staff out and about around Clarendon and they've been happy to stop and say hi to my dog when she got excited to see them. The facility seems clean and well kept, I've been coming to this location for a while and my dog hasn't come home smelling bad or dirty. She also seems like she gets a good amount of attention throughout the day!

Clarendon Animal Care
3000 10th St N B, ArlingtonSwitched to CAC North from another vet in Fairfax and I wish we had started here from the start! I have two Italian greyhounds and have done an international health certificate here, and also been in for: routine vaccinations, anxiety medication management, parasite deworming, and GI issues. Luxor and Pharoah love to see Caitlin (tech) and DVM McCrory, but when we needed to get in asap for my newly adopted iggy who wasn’t holding down food, Julia (tech) and DVM Gottlieb were incredible! When I was struggling to get my adopted iggy’s previous vet records, the staff were able to get them on file for me. Prescriptions here are so easy to fill in office or on Chewy, and their online booking system is awesome. Italian greyhounds are weird, anxious little guys and the staff is always willing to bend over backwards to make them comfy. We are going to start seeing their vet behaviorist for some help with our reactive new little guy, and we know we will be in the best care! Receipts and post-visit instructions are always emailed and we usually always get phone calls after visits to see any add-on care is needed. This place is incredible!!

I immediately called Heart + Paw and after they listened over the phone, what has happened, they squeezed me in for a a check up. Dr. Jaclyn Erwin was very king and explained it was an episode of reverse sneezing. Not need to worry about. It wasn’t life threatening and it will go away with time. Next day the Dr. called to follow up my Yorkie’s episode and even helped with some tips for future episodes, if so. Heart + paw has a Super fast, friendly, kind a caring services. ? Bond Vet - Arlington
2871 Clarendon Blvd, ArlingtonI brought my brand new puppy here and they were amazing. I appreciated the insight they had on additional vaccines she may need, especially since she's in a daycare and around other dogs all day long 3 days a week. I've read the other reviews here, and it seems like the "bad" reviews are single bad experiences or folks not used to vets and not understanding how things work - I think my appointment went beautifully and look forward to the team being my Lola's forever vet.

I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review! We are so happy with Woofs, we adore the entire Woofs team. We have worked with them for private training, group training, and doggy daycare. We feel so lucky to have stumbled into this amazing family that treats my dog with love, respect, and kindness. This is a positive reinforcement training facility and once you try it, you will never, ever consider another approach. We always joke that the training sessions are more to train me than my dog, but I have learned so much about dog body language and being in tune with my dog's needs. We love Woofs!Special shoutouts to Laura and Carrie who we've worked with the most, but truly all of the staff are so so wonderful!

Fur-Get Me Not Pet Care
4140 S Four Mile Run Dr, ArlingtonMy dog loves it here! He always has the best day and is exhausted when he gets home lol. I love that they do cute activities for the holidays, make training recommendations when needed, and have pretty much everything you need. I love how they divide the groups based on size, temperament, etc, because our last daycare just put all dogs together in one big group, which was overstimulating for him at times. I can’t recommend them enough and every staff member has been SO sweet and helpful.

Metropawlitan Petsitters
2850 S Quincy St #6553, ArlingtonI've used Metropawlitan Petsitters multiple times now while I've been traveling. I have a bit of a complicated set-up with several codes to enter my building + apartment and the walkers never complain or have trouble. I've also had issues where I need to change something last minute due to postponed flights or travel plans, and the team has always been very responsive and reassuring via messaging through the app. Additionally, I love that the walkers send pictures and provide updates of their visits, as well as the routes of their walks. I always look forward to those while I'm away. I feel as though my dog is well taken care of and enjoys the walkers while I'm out of town.

Parking was very convenient as well. Would absolutely come back again and again.

1731 Crystal Dr, ArlingtonDelicious Pho, Amazing Service, and Family-Friendly Atmosphere!
I recently visited Phowheels in Arlington, VA, and I can’t say enough good things about this place! The food was absolutely delicious – probably the best pho I’ve had in a long time. My daughter devoured her noodles, which speaks volumes, as she can be quite picky. It’s a very kid-friendly spot, which made our dining experience relaxed and enjoyable.
The gentleman who took our order was incredibly friendly, attentive, and customer-service oriented, making us feel welcomed right from the start. If you’re looking for a great meal with impeccable service, Phowheels is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back!
Kid-friendliness: What kid does not like noodles and the broth is excellent for the season.

Simona Cafe
2507 Franklin Rd, ArlingtonIt felt like a beautiful fall afternoon. Where only a cup of mocha would make it better. I walked to a quaint coffee house at a corner of two roads in a V, across trees in orange and red. 8 green chairs and 2 brown benches put up in small circles under a canopy. There was a cute patio with string lights across, allowing just enough warm sunlight through horizontal patterns. Plants breathing in as they had been there forever. Murmurs and faint conversations followed.
I opened a glass door to enter as a bell above me rang. There were 3 baristas behind a counter creating art , soaking in some music. There was a huge menu on a chalk wall which I chose not to read. I knew what I wanted.
I walked to the girl with a huge smile behind a billing screen on the other side of the counter,
“I feel special”, I said.
“We have these 3 special drinks available today”, she said.
I looked at the 3 drinks and it just didn’t click.
“Do you like Matcha”, she asked.
“I like matcha”, I answered.
“We have a matcha inspired tea.”
“I like tea, but today feels like a coffee kind of fall afternoon. Can you make me a mocha?!”, I asked.
“Hmmm… Let’s get you a special Mocha! Maybe a baklava latte but fused for chocolate”
I liked what was going on in an artist’s head. Today felt special. I wanted that original piece. I wanted this artist’s monalisa.
The Baristas – an ensemble of 3 – had a quick discussion. They ran thru the flavor profile of this new drink. With precision, he blended coffee, with oat milk & chocolate. I stood by and watched, my drink being made with special detail. And to finish it my drink had a latte art specialist. I breathed in anticipation.
They placed my mug on a glass counter.
“Here is your drink, let us know how you like it.”
I carefully threaded the coffee mug with two hands to my lips & took a sip.
“It tastes like a beautiful fall afternoon”
