“Terrific local brew shop with great rotating taps. Employees are super friendly and will guide to a great growler fill or a good bottled beer based upon your tastes.”

“This Total Wine store has a lot of great wines, but the "wine experts" have been so-so. However, recently, we had a "wine expert" named Eva who was super helpful and friendly. It changed our perception of the store from a mediocre location to 5-star. I hope they give her a chance to coach other wine experts in the store.”

“A big THANK YOU to everyone at Arrowine for a seamless online holiday ordering experience. And special thanks to Mr. Hassen for helping me choose some excellent wines this morning for a dinner party (and as an aside, kudos for his deft handling of a rather unprofessional customer). Five stars for quality and service.”

“Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. It says “thoughtfully curated by your neighborhood wine guy” on the window. This sums it up. They have a very unique selection of interesting and fun wines, as well as some staples. Their sake selection is impressive as well.”

“The staff are always super helpful. We use this store for our restaurant and they are great about ordering in what we need. They also have a great selection. You can always find something you didn't expect.”

“Greetings! I like the selection of wines at this store. They sell a nice variety of sweet wines, which are my personal favorite. The store is clean and well stocked and questions asked are answered thoroughly.

The reason I did not give the store 5 stars, however, is due to the fact that I do believe the greetings and offer of service upon arrival could be elevated to improve the experience and make the patrons visit more informative and enjoyable without the patron having to approach the employee and ask for assistance.”

“Frank and David were fantastic help! These guys definitely know their jobs inside and out. This will be my go-to store from now on. Frank was incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. Made all the difference for my experience here.”

“I am a repetitive customer of this particular location. The staff are friendly and treat me warmly. The selection is impeccable, and the store is very sanitary.

It has a quietness about it.

When I buy alcohol, I prefer to go to Va. to do so. I recommend this establishment without reservation.

*Be aware that selection varies from ABC Store to any other ABC Store.”

“Great selection of wine and spirits. I've found a few nice bottles of bourbon and rye here that I don't see often at the ABC stores. Staff is friendly and helpful.”

“I love this place. I can get craft beer and Asian candies at the same spot, and pair it with Belgian lambics. K-1 is a global market to service your refined snacking and drinking needs. They even do postal service and lottery games. Don’t miss out!”

“Safe walking distance located near the hotels outside the airport. Really good selection on bourbon despite the smaller size of the store. Street parking only near the store.”

4.2 Good78 Reviews

“This location is always well stocked and the staff are friendly. I was buying a bottle and the cashier let me know a gift version with glasses was available for the same price”

“Every single worker here makes me feel like family. I love them all! It could have been a month or two and I walk in with nothing but warm words and open arms. They ask "Where have you been, I've been thinking of you!" And "How are your babies?" Among other sweet words. I have nothing but good things to say about the ABC store on Columbia Pike.”

“Super friendly and helpful staff. I don’t know why other reviews say the selection is bad because I found the selection amazing. The liquor stores in DC are absolutely atrocious in comparison. Great store I’ll be back!”

“Clean little place, not much single malt collection, but they do have good Bourbon collection. Friendly staff, and while I was looking at their Bourbons, one of the associates came by and recommended Russell's Reserve. I never tried it and hope it is good.”

“My dog needs to take a very high dosage of a controlled substance daily. The pharmacist has been incredibly helpful in navigating the complicated process of refills that involves working closely with the vet to meet all regulatory requirements. I cannot say enough good things about him!”

“In particular I want to acknowledge the PHARMACIST. She was very kind and understanding when my seizure scripts were running out. Kudos to Christina..we need more pharmacists like these!”

“The staff are very friendly and helpful. They're also willing to help source discounts for expensive prescriptions that aren't fully covered by a person's insurance. Highly recommend.”

“Wow - just had to respond after seeing some of the reviews. They have the freshest produce, fish, meats - great selection of organic products! They may be a little more expensive but have you been to Whole Foods? Plus, the staff is phenomenal - when they asked if I had found everything I was looking for and said "actually, I was looking for __ and you don't seem to carry it." Two weeks later the customer service person said that they had gotten it in and it was on aisle x. Unfortunately, the Pharmacy staff is the worst - I honestly don't know if it could possibly get worse. The staff of 3 are standing around chatting and continue to do so quite loudly and then after 5-10 minutes you get I'll be with you in a minute. If I am picking up more than 1 prescription- I cannot count the number of times they have shorted me - they don't let you see them or tell you what exactly you are picking up. Between the cash register, plexiglass and all of these pamphlets - It is impossible to see what RXs you are getting. It's just a terrible pharmacy - the one in Shirlington is great. I really hate going to Giant or Safeway - they are not as clean and certainly could care less if you are looking for a specific product. HT's my main grocery store and has been for years - only others I go to are Whole Foods, Fresh Market and Trader Joes. But, I have transferred my prescriptions to another pharmacy”

“Nice store; not the nicest parking environment.

This market DOES have Aloe Vera leaves, and a nice salad bar - two reasons to go here!

Although the parking is tight, the Safeway across the street is a good alternative.”

“The staff are PHENOMENAL!!! Oh, and their Starbucks Barista Ana is amazing as well. She's a true sweetheart. Deon from the Pizza shop is ALWAYS positive and upbeat. He also knows the type of Pizza I love. He remembers me, and I don’t feel like a number or "just another customer." The quality of the store makes it manageable to shop there, especially for snacks and other items needed during lunch breaks. I won't forget to mention the self-checkout staff who are always friendly as well. Even the vibe is different from other locations. WOW! Amazing!”

“Shout out to Aness (manager) and Cat.Last weekend I had 4 orders in and instacart did not get it right. Called headquarters and outside of refunds the supervisor at headquarters never called back as promised. It took Shirlington managers to help me out.I can't thank you enough !!!!”

“I have driven past this Harris Teeter location many times but always ended up going to the other store at Pentagon Row because I didn't know how to get into this one. After finally figuring it out, I visited this store for the first time and I really liked it. I came here close to closing time so I couldn't experience the food bar and the daytime crowds, but as a late night shopper, I was still able to find everything I needed and more. The store team was busy restocking everything for the next day, which gave me plenty of fresh produce options. Overall, it's a great Harris Teeter location and I will definitely be returning.”

“Having lived in Arlington, Virginia, for nearly forty years, my wife and I have had many experiences, some good, some bad. We've seen forests turned into large shopping malls, small family businesses replaced by huge corporate office buildings, more and more people of all sorts--good and bad--come and go. Now in the autumn of our years, one sometimes feels less in touch with the community and people who live and work here. Today, however, we were reminded of the blessings amongst the bustle: A kind, personable employee of Harris Teeter named Sharon Walker truly went above and beyond in assisting my disabled wife shopping, organizing, bagging and lifting her grocery purchases onto her walker -- all with a heartwarming smile. Ms Walker's cheerful attitude, extra effort and assistance reflected highly upon the professionalism of herself, the employee team of Harris Teeter, and on the Harris Teeter grocery chain in general. Thank you!”

“I see people stealing things here every time I go in. It's aggravating because it eases prices for everyone and the employees seem to not be able to do anything about it.”
