I have been going to Kenny’s for over ten years. His Salon is always clean. Kenny is the most professional stylist I have ever used. His staff are polite and professional as well. Kenny is extremely skilled at cutting hair. Be sure to clearly communicate what you want and bring photos if you can. His shop is a bit old school and outdated, but the hair washing stations are oddly the most comfortable I've ever experienced.

Zeynep is fabulous! A friend recommended Kenny's Beauty Academy for a good inexpensive cut and I'm glad she did. I had a great experience with Zeynep who listened carefully and constantly checked hair length to make sure she did not overcut. I decided to go back to short hair after growing it out to shoulder length and was thrilled with the result.The supervisor also stopped by to make sure everything was done well. Zeynep graduates next month and I have no doubt she will be in great demand as she works at another of Kenny's Hair Salons. Give her a try, you won't be disappointed.

A pretty amazing (old school) salon that is so well hidden. Blow out was only $15 because it was at Kenny's Hair Academy (not the studio part) by a student. The lady in charge was guiding her from time to time and would come over and demonstrate as well. They offered hot mint green tea which was a nice touch. She used both curlers during blow dry and curling iron afterwards. Result was nice. She didn't quite know how to set my bang, and the supervisor came over to apply some product. Friendly (if sometimes tentative, uncertain) service overall. The student has been there for only 1 month. The water temperature during the hair was fluctuated quite a bit; not the student stylist's fault. Must be their system being unstable. It was comfortably warm (just right) in the beginning and it would become cold. When I sat down after the hair wash, the small table (platform) in front of me under the mirror was missing. I had to point this out, and she didn't even notice it (when she brought my tea). All other seats have that small table in front of them. She moved me to a new place. Totally empty really (just me and one other customer). It worked out. But -- even if they don't want to invest money in updating the salon--they should at least do the basic upkeep. Note: they do have a nicer section of the salon where Mr Kenny himself works. That is separate from the cheaper "Kenny's Academy." Blow out in the professional side (Kenny's Salon) is $40, while in the academy by students is only $15. This salon is located across the street from Giant's in a nondescript building without any sign. The exterior looks terrible. Scary, even. Both store fronts (downstairs) are empty. Closed down. No tenants. This salon is located upstairs. You'd enter via a nondescript glass door (again no sign whatsoever) and go up the stairs. Once upstairs, there are 3 rooms: the Kenny's professional salon to your right, the Kenny's academy (straight ahead), and the waxing part (to your left). They offer eye brows and bikini waxing. There is a massage chair (with foot bath) for pedicure in the corner in the academy room, but they said they no longer offer pedicure (even though they used to offer it). ================ Came back for a professional bang trim (in the nice side of the salon). Was nice. =============== Came back a third time for a keratin treatment by an Academy student. It was only $135 which is a bargain compared to the regular charge if done by a professional.

I have been with Kenny for over 20 years. I won't let anyone else do my hair. He is so talented, and makes me look fabulous each time I have him do my hair. Couldn't recommend Kenny more. He is simply the best hair dresser I have every had and I am over 70 years old!
