Ambience: 4*Food options: 4* (better than before; see pictures)Service: 4*Value: 4*Stopped by here on a business trip. The food options were much improved (e.g. mini crab cakes with remoulade sauce; caprese skewer; arugula salad with chicken and feta; chicken poblano soup). The serve was good, friendly, competent, and nice. A great experience to enjoy whilst waiting for your flight.

A much smaller airport compared to BWI (my usual go to) and Dulles. I went through Southwest Airlines and was in line to get my bag checked. There's 3 agents just ignoring the line and talking amongst each other until a different agent calls me down. Airport itself has a wall of snacks and goodies on your way to your gate. It was absolutely PACKED waiting at the gate. Not enough seats and lots of people sitting by the walls too.

It's close it's convenient and it is a great airport to depart from. The views as you fly in are breathtaking depending on the approach. That does change when you have to pick someone up from this airport. Driving to the airport and parking is can be a real test. Parking can be a challenge and what used to be a temporary parking lot is now a contractor owned lot. However, I am told that the first hour of parking in the pay lot is free.

Lovely Airport, small and easy to navigate. Lovely student art on the walk between terminals.

When I come to DC, I normally fly out of Dulles, but I flew on Southwest this time which goes out of Reagan. I can't speak for the whole airport, but the A gates are an absolute nightmare. Going through TSA with Precheck was very quick, but everything went downhill from there. The A gates are separated from the rest of the airport and seriously lack in amenities. There are only a few quick service restaurants available, so the lines were lined down the hallway. There aren't enough seats, so I'm writing this review from the floor in the hallway by security because there's literally nowhere to else to sit. The bathrooms have lines out the doors and are in a serious need of a refresh and deep clean. I will be so thrilled if I never have to fly out of this airport again. This has been such a miserable experience.

The DCA Airport is a nice small airport. Navigation throughout is is easy. There are moving sidewalks to assist those who need it. The terminals are set up all in a row, with several sitting areas to wait for flights. I saw nicer sit down restaurants and fast food spots as well. Convenience store were dotted across the airport, which is helpful. I was surprised to see a few high end retail stores. Overall, it made up a nice variety for travelers. The airport is showing areas of wear and tear, which lead to signs of aging. But it was great to see they are starting to update. For nervous flyers, the runway is small and sits against water. So coming in, it looks like you are about to land in that water. Taking off, you fly down the runway and lift off just before the water. Yikes!!

Despite the many costly changes, many problems persist, especiallywith the car rental return confusionand walkway to Terminal One. Moreover with the recent North and South Securitycheckpoints, I encountered unfairdelays and waiting. In the middleof a long 6am line, the line wasinstructed to file off to the sidewhile those behind us were allowedto advance. We had to wait an eternity for an agent to appear during the shift change. Patience while waiting requires fairness.Money cannot solve many problems.

Huge airport! Although the Southwest terminal is extremely easy to get through! Super quick process and has a lot of shops and places to eat. One downside is how busy the drop off and pick up location is and you have to cross a few lanes over; so if you have a lot of luggage - it's inconvenient.Baggage claims was also pretty straight forward but took some time to load off. Overall, 6.5/10 simple airport system as others!

Not really one of my preferred airports to leave from in the Washington area. The food options are slim, as well as shopping. Most importantly after checking in you have to carry your bags to baggage drop-off rather than them immediately getting taken away at the ticketing desk. Very strange and seems quite outdated. Will be more conscious of which airport I leave from in the future!

What can I say? I love this airport and not because it's the closest one to where I live, but because it's a really nice airport & on the smaller size. It's clean, beautifully designed, stunning architecture, great selection of little shops, friendly staff and easy to navigate.Bonus was seeing all the beautiful Washington monuments as we took off at sunrise!
