So I booked a last second room for the night here because I don’t feel like commuting back in the morning and I am very impressed right away. The place smells amazing and it’s super clean despite being a super old building. Parking is plentiful and easy. The staff is super friendly too!!! They are so cute and nice. Even have a little free coffee spot for us here and a printer. Call me crazy but I prefer this to any of the big chain hotels. I feel very comfortable here.

Never book this hotel. The service is terrible. I booked the second night by mistake, they never gave me the refund! I left to another hotel without staying there second night. They never gave me money back. We live in 21st Century, come on. The hotel is old and outdated.

Good experience. You get what you pay for. Staff very pleasant. Someone was smoking weed outside the front entrance... thought that was

If I could rate 0/5 I would. Receptionist is a total jackass and the room had a distinct piss smell

Eh. Not too clean. Floor looked like it had not been swept in days. One of the uncomfortable beds was unmaid when we arrived. Would not stay here again, but I guess it served it’s purpose for a few hours sleep.

Put it to you like this. If you are in a hurry and need a room tonight and this is the one thing available, then go for it. Otherwise choose the Holiday Inn or some other place. To be fair, we did get a nice large room. Although I didn't really get a chance to do much with it because I had to go to work the next day.

It's acceptable if you just stay for a night, for the price. Not recommend for long stay, the amenities are old and room is not very clean. The staff is friendly though.

It was clean, and that's important. No hair dryer or worthwhile soap and shampoo. Bring your own. Miss no breakfast, especially when there is no place close by for having breakfast.

Fair warning for anyone thinking of staying here: the booking service and hotel are completely separate. Had a very unfortunate experience where the booking service reserved a room for me, but found out night of that the hotel had not made the reservation.

Poor internet connection and thin walls. Every time next room enters theri room, we thought that it is ours. Location is good for public transportation and food or groceries. I do not want to stay again.

I usually try to stay near VHC whenever I've been in the area for surgery as I don't need much to feel comfort but this time was incredibly horrible. I flew in for surgery on my larynx (vocal tremors) and called prior to ask if there were any issues with mold or other allergens to which they told me no.I was placed on the first floor and right away I was exposed to cigarette smoke in the hallway and the AC in the room was making it incredibly hard to breatheAll in all. I could not stay here as part of the requirement of post op care was no coughing. I left 3 hours later and stayed with a friend an hour away and just take the train back and forthI requested a refund and was berated by the front desk for not booking somewhere nicer instead (I'm disabled and work part time at a tea shop)One week later and I received less than half the amount of the reservation anountI don't like leaving negative reviews but if you're coming in specifically for any surgical work or if you have trouble with asthmaStay away from this motelCleanliness 0.5/5Rooms: Dirty, dusty. AC blows dirt aroundNoteworthy details: Rude front desk

The room was clean. The walls in this hotel are thin. You can hear people walking up and down the hallway, every time a door was opened, and the people above you walking in their room. I would expect for it to be a little noisy but it was a lot noisy. Another drawback is the entrance. When you enter the parking lot you are driving straight up a big hill. There are no elevators in this hotel....or at least I didn't see any.

I’m only speaking for room 120. The carpet could use replacing, the entire room could stand some patch and paint work, the water pressure in the shower was very low, the stand that holds the microwave and fridge was very wobbly, small TVs,No breakfast.Despite the downsides the beds were comfortable and all the workers were very friendly. There was vending machines and a ice machine. The room stayed pretty cool also and we heard little to no noise from the adjoining rooms. This is defiantly a simplistic no frills hotel that is worth a stay.

My family member visiting Arlington, Virginia, made a reservation online. When she arrived. She asked her family member to accompany the hotel she was staying. We went with my family member to check the location. First, the front desk person was insulting. Because my family member has a Spanish surname, he assumed he was illegal and didn't understand English. So he spoke slow and loud. Informing her he needed to see a legal ID/ Driver's license. You can't make this up, it is unbelievable in this day with all the education on inclusivity for customer service representatives that you would encounter this attitude. Anyway, the handicap parking is downhill from the front desk which is challenging and when asked about the parking around the corner from the office, we were told that parking is not for you it's for owners. We left and cancelled their reservation. So be warned. If we could give them a minus 3 stars we would.

They cancelled my reservation because I didn't show up for the first night, then wanted to charge me for the next night even though I had already paid for it. Room was a little dirty and stained.
