“Few time visited here. Fall in love with this Asian carry out & grocery in Cherry Dale community opposite the Safeway and next to the Dunkin’s Donut & Baskin Robins. The parking is in the back! Don’t worry, you will always find spot. In the evening, you could also park at the mattress store parking where is the same spots. All is fresh & reasonable price… love the smile and passion of them. I could see all customer loves them so much. Everyone enjoy to be here and could see how kindness of them. They do serve the hot food. Rice / noodle comes in platter. Different dishes everyday. All is fresh and tasty. Sometimes they do Thai foods, Chinese foods,… all is wonderful dish. They have chairs for you to sit and enjoy the foods even they are not big store at all. I feel so welcome every time I come by. Love the idea of premade carry out / to go dishes in the fridge. Great great price and good quality. This place have magic in every thing. Thank you to them.

Vegetarian options: Thai food is always added here. Vegan curry and stir fried. Sometime they offer vegan appetizers. A lot of dessert is vegan.”

“Slightly smaller than other Trader Joe’s but still has a ton of stuff. Only real gripe is that there is virtually no cell signal inside. I have to walk outside to get any sort of signal. I have Verizon.”

“A Bangladeshi grocery. A Bengali myself ( coming from Kolkata, India) was excited to find many niche products, which is difficult to find in usual Indian groceries. However, did not find anything significant- other than various fishes, meat, and frozen food to try. I got some Bengali style sweets ( gurer Sandesh) and they were really good. You can find some fresh vegetables too. However, it’s worth visiting only for good quality meat and typical Bengali fresh water fishes. Don’t expect any great shopping experience, as their space is small and crammed, and quite smelly ( I guess coming from large amount of meat business)!”

“A big THANK YOU to everyone at Arrowine for a seamless online holiday ordering experience. And special thanks to Mr. Hassen for helping me choose some excellent wines this morning for a dinner party (and as an aside, kudos for his deft handling of a rather unprofessional customer). Five stars for quality and service.”

“Obviously expensive but well located and well staffed. I always have great experiences with the people there. The food quality is uncompromising and well curated, however you may not find any large/known brands (which can be a good thing).”

“Love this little spot. The hot food is all so good - I love their pupusas, and I also frequently get their tamales. They also have a surprising number of grocery items for such a small shop! Prices for grocery are high to be expected for a small shop (though they have some items that are hard to find in this area), but their hot food bar is VERY reasonably priced.”

“They have made such nice improvements to this Safeway in the last few years, including self check-out and giving it a general facelift. I really like this grocery store even though it's on the smaller side. The produce, in particular, has a better selection than a lot of other places nearby!”

He helped me many time picking my favorite items and ordered them for me. I would recommend it as it is a neighborhood small business that deserves to survive.”

“Protip: if you need Korean snacks/grocery items without trekking to Annandale/Centreville this market is so convenient! Really nice to buy instant ramen, kimchi, and other Korean items easily.”

“This is my neighborhood Giant and I like that I can talk there. Their selection is decent and I think the prices are fair. My biggest annoyances are that they closed the entrance closes to Columbia Pike meaning that walkers needs to walk further. Additionally, the self-checkout treats you very suspiciously as if you are definitely trying to shoplift. I avoid it as much as possible and only use it when the lines for the scarce in-person check-outs are not available.”

“It’s one of my „go to” grocery stores. It’s clean, the employees are very nice, it’s easy to park there, generally it’s has all what I need, I just wish the meat selection would be better, sometimes the shelves are lacking the product.”

“Having lived in Arlington, Virginia, for nearly forty years, my wife and I have had many experiences, some good, some bad. We've seen forests turned into large shopping malls, small family businesses replaced by huge corporate office buildings, more and more people of all sorts--good and bad--come and go. Now in the autumn of our years, one sometimes feels less in touch with the community and people who live and work here. Today, however, we were reminded of the blessings amongst the bustle: A kind, personable employee of Harris Teeter named Sharon Walker truly went above and beyond in assisting my disabled wife shopping, organizing, bagging and lifting her grocery purchases onto her walker -- all with a heartwarming smile. Ms Walker's cheerful attitude, extra effort and assistance reflected highly upon the professionalism of herself, the employee team of Harris Teeter, and on the Harris Teeter grocery chain in general. Thank you!”

“Giant has an excellent pharmacy! The technicians and pharmacists are caring and have a great customer service attitude! I came here from Harris Teeter who always used to mess up and incorrectly get my prescriptions denied by insurance. Giant has never messed up my prescriptions and they have longer hours!!! Cameron in my go-to pharmacy technician and he is top notch! He is accurate, detail oriented and explains how to use medications. He is patient and is always available to answer questions about medications or insurance. Cameron recognizes his customers and inspires confidence and trust in his abilities!”

“Nice store; not the nicest parking environment.

This market DOES have Aloe Vera leaves, and a nice salad bar - two reasons to go here!

Although the parking is tight, the Safeway across the street is a good alternative.”
