Dear Giant Food, we bought a hard salami of a Giant's brand today at Arlington 2501 9th Rd S location. It's our favorite store. And we used to buy Giant's brand salami, because it's our favorite one. It used to be fresh all the times we've bought it. But this time, it smells like it's expired. It smells awful! It's terrible! Though the date was July, 31st. Could you please clarify what's going on with my favorite store?

This giant is pretty decent all things considered. Prices are average, workers are nice, pharmacy is good. My biggest complaint is the homeless people by the entrance/exit. I mean it’s a bit ridiculous that they have guard security yet let homeless people harass their customers at the only entrance/exit. I’m all here for giving to charity but cmon

The guy at self check out treats minorities like criminals. Moving right behind you depending on the register you’re using. Security guard stopped one person for their receipt, but not the other. If you’re going to check receipts, don’t profile and check everyone’s receipt (but they know this neighborhood wouldn’t stand for that). They use to open until 11 on Friday and Saturday, now they close at 10 like the weekdays.

Consistently sells spoiled produce, dairy, and meat. Today I purchased a box of crackers only to discover when I got home that the box and package inside had been opened. They had resealed the box with tape to try to resell it. Disgusting. Avoid this store and drive further down the Pike to another store.

Check the expiration date on everything before you buy it. This store will sell you expired food. It’s happened to me 4 times now and I’m sick of Giant stealing money from me while breaking the law. Hello, FDA…?
