Surprisingly, it's a well stocked store. Professional employees, plenty of cashiers and folks stocking the shelves. Unlike, HT and Safeway they keep plenty of items on the shelves. I can never find cream of any type at the other stores but Giant always has plenty.
Great selection of health food and specialty imported pasta.
Don't have to go too the Italian Store for everything.
I'm glad it's still going strong ever since the first time I shopped there in 1992. Time flies.

Was at self checkout today. Wallet got swiped as an hour later saw two unauthorized charges from Glebe market and target in ballston.

I always run here when I want to pick up something quick, but it's really tight in there. It's cute and literally has everything but can be hard to maneuver through the isles with your cart. It's always busy, so the store is always full.

Stock of items is not great. Do not have the variety that other stores have. Also the store just feels bad. The ceilings are low, aisles are narrow, interior is worn down, understaffed, tons of bums in the parking lot asking for money, managers speak almost no English.

This Giant store, is exactly why I shop at Harris Teeter. The worst thing you can do is watch and target certain people at self check out. This is not the 1980s. You cannot watch minorities (black people) only at self check out. I will definitely be contacting giant customer service and a civil rights organization.

This giant provides fine groceries but their service is abysmal! They never have enough in-person registers staffed, so there’s always a huge line to check out, and the self checkout is USELESS!!! Like I cannot possibly convey the extent to which their self-checkout system is completely and utterly dysfunctional! I’m sorry, it’s 2024, and the self checkouts at this giant worked fine in 2023, but they blew it so hard and it’s just embarrassing!
And yes, I am writing this review while I wait in line for the checkout! I’m just stuck standing here so I might as well!
Update: I’m back here a week later, same time, no improvement in sight!

I had the worst experience at this Giant store. They have some relationship with Advanced Towing company that has a spotter who is always keeping an eye on the parking lot. So even if you are outside their premises for 5 minutes your car gets towed and held for ransom. Completely unacceptable to treat paying customers like this. I have had good experiences with other Giant stores in the Virginia area. But I will advise against shopping here unless you want your car towed and damaged.

Don't give money to a business that's in the pocket of Advanced Towing. There are plenty of towing companies in NoVA but they decided to defend and work with Advanced Towing, literally THE most corrupt towing company in NoVA. Just type in Advanced Towing for a Google news search and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I went into this location this morning and they have no plastic grocery bags. I had to put some groceries back because I couldn't carry them in the paper bags the cashier gave me. You have to carry them bags. There was no way I could carry everything in the rain to the cab with an unbrella and up flights of stairs when I got home. With Whole Foods bag I would have been able to. This store needs a deep cleaning. It has went down hill. Everyone walks around like they are working but are not. The store should be fully stocked when they open at 6am. The produce section with oranges, onions, etc. were none. The bakery always has items out of date. We the community deserve a better shopping grocery store.
