Dawson Terrace Community Center and Park is north of Rosslyn in a mostly residential neighborhood called North Highland. It's along the highway and the Potomac River. The community center itself is in a historic stone building. The park is behind it with a section for smaller kids and a rope playground with a massive blue slide for older kids. There's a trail that leads to the remains of a castle.

This is a small park located just north of Rosslyn . There seem to be trails , a community center(closed currently), and a basketball court. This park is most suited for the older toddler +. The tunnel slide is clearly the highlight of the park, but the only way to get there is up a large spiderweb that has large gaps in it that are not suitable to toddlers who have yet to develop the capacity to get up the ropes themselves. They have a couple baby swings (love they have the duo swing) and a spiderweb swing. The boat with binoculars is cute. There's also a little playhouse with a toddler slide. The fake grass has some nice hills to run up and down. There's plenty of seating available. The park is pretty Empty during the week. Once school lets out it gets busier. Parking is available both on the street and in a lot. I'd return here again, but only when my toddler (who turned 2 last month) can at least help me get him through the ropes to the big blue slide.

Dawson Trace is another of Arlington County's great community parks. It is really tucked away inside a neighborhood so you would never know it's there unless you did a search for it. The park has several creative pieces of equipment that my kids just love. The only problem I have is trying to get my kids to leave when it's time to go home.

Really fun playground for all ages, and not too big so you don't lose track of kids when they are doing different things

Great climbing structure for elementary and agile Pre-K kiddos. Fun pirate ship and little kid clubhouse too!

They've upgraded this park into a great climbing park for the youngsters. Enough for toddlers to do as well. And a historic house for the older members of the family to enjoy as well.

Playground is brand new and gorgeous! There's an area for younger kids (2-5), and for older (5-12). Really nice turf covering in the play area, lots of seating and tables. Parking may be tight if there's a class going on

Awesome public playground nestled in a neighborhood, also connects to a woodland trail. Great play structures for a variety of ages, plus a field and courts.

This is a nice community center however the outside has been blocked for more than a year now. Playground is still not ready. And the interior is HOT!!
