Dr. Weiss has been my eye doctor for some 29 years. More importantly, he's been my son's eye doctor for circa 20 years. He is an extraordinarily rare combination of brilliance, empathy, knowledge, patience, and clear communication. As a journalist who has lived in many places at home and abroad, I've had a handful of eye doctors -- and Dr. Weiss is by far the best. An important example: After my son had visited several eye doctors who were unable to fully correct his vision -- and had no explanation why -- Dr. Weiss examined him. He decided to do a brain/head MRI. This revealed that one of his hypotheses was correct -- my son suffered from a rare birth defect === his optic nerve was atrophied (not fully grown), so its ends didn't fully extend to his eyes. This meant, sadly, that the best his vision could ever be corrected to with glasses and contact lenses was 20/70. As upsetting as it was to find this out, it was oddly comforting to finally know the truth === why previous eye doctors had not been able to prescribe eyeglasses that really worked. With recent miraculous medical advances using stem cells, we are now exploring stem cell treatment of Optic Nerve Atrophy, a cutting-edge treatment now in clinical trials. I cannot recommend Dr. Weiss highly enough.

I did not receive treatment of any kind here. However, my brief interaction with the staff and office was pleasant. The office is beautiful and their frame options were pretty robust. I worked in Optometry for some time.

Dr Weiss created the best eye doctor experience I’ve had. I usually don’t like going because my right eye has horrible vision and it’s very frustrating. But Dr Weiss was so incredibly validating and understanding. I could tell he genuinely wanted to help as much as he could. Couldn’t recommend seeing him enough.

Dr Weiss saw me on an emergency basis yesterday. His friendly staff fit me into his busy schedule, and he provided a thorough exam and patiently walked me through the results. He is very professional with a kind bedside manner.

I like Dr. Weiss, he was thorough and really competent. The issue I have is with his staff. They had no idea how to apply the lenses to my VSP insurance. The person helping me said she would get back to me that afternoon, now two days and an email from me with no follow up. Just bad service. For my annual eye exam and glasses I will go elsewhere.

Dr. Weiss is a genuine professional with excellent staff.As I have moved around the DMV area, I continue going to him regardless of distance because I trust my eyes to his care.When my wife was pregnant and had her vision change, he took great care of her.When I had an unexpected vision emergency, the office was willing to accommodate me for a last-minute same-day appointment. Then Dr. Weiss quickly identified the issue and referred me to a wonderful ophthalmologist for further treatment.Besides getting meticulous and accurate medical treatment, I received compassionate care. Waking up with obstructed vision gave me so much anxiety and fear, but the front office went the extra mile to get me in for an appointment and their effort gave me immediate relief because I knew I'd be taken care of.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr Weiss and Charity since 1990 and are hoping that he never retires ;) He is incredibly competent and caring and a pleasure to see, and Charity is an insurance and eyeglasses whiz!!!

Dr. Weiss is a great doctor who got through my checkup and updated my prescription quickly, but I really want to talk about the optician, Loretta. She truly is the best I've ever been to. She picked out a frame I never would have considered in a style that fit me perfectly that was also the cheapest option while I was looking at more expensive frames. She knew exactly which lens options would be right for me, and talked me through the process efficiently without a bunch of graphs/price charts/etc. Beyond that, she was also just a very kind, patient, and lovely human being that got me excited about my glasses and made my whole day/week. I'm very glad I purchased there instead of online.

Dr. Weiss is a skilled practitioner. I came to him for an eye exam (re-exam) after two other optometrists at MyEyeDoctor could not seem to get it right. I had been wearing eyeglasses with a botched prescription for over a year. The Dr. took his time with me as a new patient, asked lots of questions and completed a brand new eye exam. The results differed from the other exams so no wonder my glasses were giving me headaches and issues seeing clearly - especially at night. Fast forward a few months, I've had my new prescription lenses for awhile now and have zero issues whatsoever. I am so grateful for Dr. Weiss and his friendly staff. Thank you so very much!

I was referred to the practice by a co-worker when we moved to the area 3 years ago. I've had eye issues since I was a toddler; so finding a new eye doctor was a little stressful for me, but Dr Weiss and his office staff are all great. Very friendly, efficient and helpful, all modern equipment, and right by the Rosslyn metro. In addition to my regular check-ups, I hurt my eye this past winter, and it was late in the day. The staff made time for me to come in after Dr Weiss's last patient of the day, and even tho it was late, he really took his time with me and never made me feel like I was an inconvenience. Very glad I was referred to this office.

I have been a patient of Dr. Weiss forever and, needless to say, I am a big fan. I also love his wonderful receptionist Charity. Dr. Weiss knows what he is doing. And he has seen me immediately in the few instances in which I needed immediate care.

Excellent eye doctor in the Rosslyn area. Dr. Weiss is friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. If you are driving though, parking can be tough.
