You’ll be fine if you’re cool working out to the smell of cigarettes, not being allowed to drop your weights and instructors that aren’t really familiar with crossfit. Otherwise i’d check out another box in the area.

The staff here are very friendly with a warm family like environment. They make CrossFit a lot less daunting then what it is and are very accommodating to all levels.

This review is waaaaaay overdue. CrossFit Rosslyn was my very first box in 2013 and although I have moved away, I maintain contact and drop-in whenever I am in town. What makes them stand apart from most others is that they legitimately care about their athletes (that includes drop-ins). From the moment you walk through the doors, you feel as if you are a part of the CFR family. That feeling comes from the top down. Thank you Michael and Matt for all that you have done throughout the years.

The box is small but don't let that fool you- the coaches are incredibly supportive, motivational, & knowledgeable! They can quickly assess your skill level and make recommendations accordingly. The music is straight fire & the members are great!

The gym could be cleaner, but the classes are pretty great and vary all the time, which is great for challenging and improving strength and physique!

Just got into CrossFit a few months ago at this gym using the Groupon. Haven't been to other ones but can definitely recommend this one; after finishing the Groupon, I came back for the month to month plan. It is a small but lively gym: there is equipment that should be more than enough for a rigorous workout, such as ropes for climbing and rings for rowing, among other essentials. Gym could smell better though, but hey, it's a gym. The instructors are all very friendly and laid back, and above all helpful and will push you when necessary. Plans and cancellation are flexible and no contracts unless you want to opt into one to save a few bucks (difference is negligible). First session is free anyways, so why not give it a shot?

Small space=you better pray there are not more than 6 people in your class or your getting squished. No ropes for climbs or rings for ring rows. Can't drop weights on the ground. My last straw was the lingering smell of cigarettes that gives me a headache every time. Wouldn't recommend even with the groupon.

A great community that has always been very welcoming, even when I was just starting out with CrossFit. I love working out here!

Bought a 10 class voucher off of Groupon for $70....Although I used to do Crossfit regularly, I was fairly rusty in both form and fitness. However, after taking a few "foundations" classes with CrossFit Rosslyn, Im officially back on the bandwagon. The thing I like most is the session size (2-4 people) which allows for individual attention by the instructors. Our instructor, Derek, manages to strike the perfect balance between pushing and teaching. There are several classes throughout the week, so you can go in the morning or evening. Im definately satisfied with this studio and recommend taking advantage of the Groupon Voucher!

Yikes. There are so many issues with this place. I went once with their Groupon and am not going back. Upon entering, the "trainer" walked up to me and stated "Give me your fitness resume." He didn't ask about any injuries or if I needed a modification, but just stated "give me your fitness resume." There are better, less douche-y ways to ask about someone's crossfit experience or athletic background. The space is tiny, and people are walking around over each other. The WOD was painfully disorganized, and lots of people were standing around for a long time. It makes sense why they're trying to get people in via Groupon -- I'm not sure why anyone would stay other than it's convenient to work.
