I had to come on here and rave about hind and all she has done here. She is always helpful and knowledgeable and quick to find a solution. I am happy to see that since the new management took over, Columbia crossing has been thriving.

The other negative reviews on here are valid. If you want a larger, comfortable layout for a competitive price, this complex is fine. However, we have an older unit and it is falling apart after being here for less than 2 years. The carpets are incredibly cheap and are peeling up/detaching from doorways, our freezer does not seal and our food is constantly ruined, the AC does not circulate properly so you have to close and unclose vents depending on what room you want cool. There is constantly trash piled up outside of our trash chutes and the garage smells like trash. Groups of children ruined the common areas and now access is limited. They are at the pool unsupervised (groups of 8-10 of them). There is never any surface parking and you are forced to park in the garage which smells, and is only accessible via a Bluetooth app. There are unleashed dogs running around. No elevators/not accessible. The list goes on.
We have to move out of state for a job transfer and the complex did nothing to work with us on fee even though we are moving more than 200 miles away.
I’d look elsewhere. Not worth your time or money. My friend looked here and they told her the pricing changes daily.

It used to be nice. Now, we live with constant piles of trash and a crowd of absolutely unhinged, unsupervised Mongolian kids who destroy facilities.

New management seems invested in the property. Weekly cleaning of common breezeways. Modern remodel apartment.

Since GreyStar started managing this community it has quickly gone from 4 to 0 stars. I’ve lived in this community for several years and have never seen negligence like this before. First, the management team is almost never present (usually out of the office before 5, noon on the weekends) despite supposedly being open regular business hours. Second, the “club house” has become a daycare for unsupervised children that are constantly destroying resident/community property. The gym is almost unusable because of this. Despite complaints, GreyStar has refused to address this problem. I do not plan on resigning my lease here and encourage others to greatly reconsider before doing so.

Columbia crossing apartments used to be a good place to live, but now there was a change in management, and everything has been a complete disaster. They promised us money for referring people to the apartments, but they have not given us any response or explanation about that. Also, the maintenance arrangements have been delayed, the forms of rent payment have been outdated, the social areas have been full of children without supervision of an adult (it looks like a daycare center every day after 6pm), causing disorders. (open faucets), excessive noise and damage to artifacts such as tables, cushions, chairs and a pool table, and the administration, despite continuous complaints and claims, has not even sent any email to the community to avoid or solve this problem. I can't believe that they can't overcome such basic problems.

There are so many kids with no control around (they play with SNOW, BIKES and SOCCER BOOLS in the social room), me and my roommates have complained many times about it but the new administration GREYSTAR is not able to do anything about it and living in the building is literally a nightmare. Not recommended at all.

Ashley, one of the leasing agents is nothing short of wonderful. She is patient, kind and goes the extra mile to be helpful. She embodies what I would assume anyone would hope they would find in their apartments leasing staff, I have nothing but great things to say about her!!

I’m not even sure where to start with this review, but all the one stars reviews you see are true. The management team running Columbia Crossing Apartments is one of the most unorganized and paranoid teams I’ve ever witnessed in my years of renting across Arlington and Washington DC. I’ve seen reviews on this very website praising the old management team for their constant care of their tenants. Since the switch, the drop off has been noticeable by EVERYONE. Wouldn’t trust this new crew of managers to make a single decision anymore.Another thing I want to point out. This same team of managers has been posting fake reviews to this webpage to cover up for their mistakes!!!!! Do some digging yourself and you’ll see how after every 1 star review, 5 new 5 star reviews magically appear praising the management team for their hard work. These one star reviews are completely justified and are being drowned by tens of fake reviews to keep this same management team out of hot water. They need to be replaced for the survivial of Columbia crossing.Final note. Don’t have your friends stay with you at this apartment. They have hired a towing company (which I’m sure they have some sort of back deal with) to patrol the “guest parking lot” and tow cars for no apparent reason at all. I’ve walked past this guest parking lot multiple times at night and have seen the same man just sitting in a car waiting for people to park in the lot. When I return from my walk (5 minutes later) the car is either gone or getting hitched up to the tow truck. Every night I see at least 2 to 3 cars get towed from the guest parking lot.Hopefully this review gets the traction it deserves. There are many great places to live in south Arlington, but this is not one of them.

I resided at Columbia Crossings for a year and would have gladly extended my stay if not for my relocation. It's a fantastic place with exceptional staff in the leasing office. On my very first visit, Hadia was incredibly kind and helpful, guiding me through the application process and move-in. Whenever I encountered challenges, Rua, Chinedu, and Ashley were there to assist me promptly. The community is beautifully landscaped and boasts a fantastic park right next door that has amenities like tennis, basketball, volleyball, and even a dog park.

I’ve had a lot of trouble with the management and maintenance at Columbia Crossing. Don’t believe the 5 star reviews, these people aren’t trustworthy.
