The lady at check in was very helpful and asked if I wanted Budget to fill the tank or if I would fill it upon returning. I paused since I was looking to see where the closest gas station was to the airport and she said they could do it for the same price so, for convenience I agreed. That was a mistake. Upon returning the vehicle, I got my receipt and was charged over $80 for gas when i gave back almost a half tank. Hmmmm. So either the lady at the counter did not know or she did. Either way, feel like I was conned. I easily could and would have filled up for the extra $50 since I know it would not have cost $30 or less to fill up. My fault for trusting what she said and good on you for getting that $50 extra since it will be the last amount I ever spend with Budget. Buyer beware for sure and don't trust what they tell you. Wish that had not been at the tail end of a very long travel day but maybe she also knew that.

Was not aware that the location was not at the airport but off-site. Good value for decent car, especially over the Thanksgiving holiday. However vehicle was missing the rear window wiper blade. Good thing it didn't rain.

The car smelled like an ashtray and so did my clothes after a 3 hour ride from DC to NY. I ordered SXM in the car and paid for it but never got it. The car had an very loud whistle from the exterior pillars while driving over 45 mph. The seat was stained and every surface was dirty or sticky to some degree. I ordered a large sedan and got a small suv because no matter what you reserve, they give you whatever they feel like giving you. I've had bad rental experiences but this one is certainly in the top 5.

We were on our honeymoon and they didn't have the car type we selected available, and the only car left 1) only had half a tank of gas in it 2) wasn't cleaned on the inside and 3) had a chip in the windshield. We asked the person on site for another car and was told that there wasn't anything available and had to take that one. Disappointed with our experience, we called customer service who assured us no problem, document everything with photos and we would be taken care of. Nearly a month later, we are getting hit with a $650+ bill in the mail for the damage on the windshield chip that was preexisting. When we tried to speak to the manager on site about this when we dropped off the car, we were treated terribly and were accused "there is no way we would give you a tank half full, etc." but we had pictures with time stamps to prove it. I can't say beware enough, and we will be fighting this until it is resolved. This location is trying to charge us for something that happened before our rental even took place.

I had to change a drop off point for my vehicle and Budget charged me an extra 400$ . I even returned the car earlier than expected. I already had the car, and it would have been cheaper for me to just go with a completely different company . It’s ridiculous they would not work with me at all. Very sad it’s all about the almighty dollar. I will NEVER rent from them again and I will tell my story publicly to all.

Had ordered a small suv but end up with an upgrade sporty car. I’m glad it happened as I wouldn’t have known how this kind of car drives. Thank you, Budget, for the hook up! ?

My experience was that they did not deal with me honestly. When I went to return my car a few days early, they wouldn't tell me how much money I'd be saving by turning in my rental a few days before it was due. Consequently, instead of saving several hundred dollars, I only saved $100 and didn't have the use of a car for several days I might otherwise have taken advantage of. They claimed they would not be charging me for the days that I did not have the car, but then they charged me for the full week anyway. I will not be doing business with them again.

My booking was from Costco. Budget asked me to take extra insurance to cover the accidents / liabilities. Adding $32 per day. When I had booked it via Costco with Enterprise I was never asked to pay anything more. I was well informed of all the things covered by Costco booking. I would not recommend budget. Unless they improve the process of giving best options to customers. Secondly the child seat provided by was absolutely a mess. Sharp edges, could not fit in the car. My child suffered a lot.

If I could give it no stars I would! Do not rent from this place. The location is 2600 Richmond hwy. RUN the other freaking direction!! The day shift staff who were working the day I picked up THREE different vehicles could care less about the condition of the cars or actually working. They would rather sit in the shade outside and gossip. When I picked up the third vehicle that I had to exchange the guys working that night were helpful. I would not recommend anyone I love or dislike to rent anything from this place

Beware! They charge me a nearly $20 surcharge upon returning the vehicle for fuel. However I had just fueled the tank prior to getting there. I had to call in and complain and let them know that I had my fuel receipt, and a photo of the fuel gauge just prior to dropping off the car. Beware.

Beware ! This has to be the most disorganized car rental we have ever been to . Four people walking around outside . They check your DL, then you still have to go in to show CC. Cars are packed like sardines, and difficult to get around . Signs everywhere stating, “We will not tolerate yelling or abuse of our employees”! Probably because the level of frustration is next level . Car was gross and dirty and said was cleaned . Nope . Be sure to take a picture of your gas gauge , as they will try and charge you for gas when car full . No Fastbreak area at all. One star is for the bus drivers who were awesome and helped with bags . Thanks !

Because of the hurricane, our original flight was canceled and we had to reschedule on a different airline landing at a different airport. I called budget and explained the situation and they were able to get us a car at the new location. Unfortunately it was twice the price of the original Rental agreement. Even with the explanation that the hurricane had altered our plans and we would need the rental for only five days and not seven. When we picked up the vehicle, it was a minivan. I had only requested a standard. So I assume the upgraded charge was for that vehicle. The budget rental office was located offsite so we had to take a shuttle to get there. It was in a very sketchy area at 11:30 at night. The attendants were standing outside under a tent and merely pointed at two vehicles, and told me to pick whichever one I wanted. There was no walk around the vehicle and no inspection. I was just anxious to get to my final destination after a very long day of travel so I picked one and drive off. The next morning I realized the tank was not full. And there were several scratches and dents on the vehicle. The entire experience just left me with a bad feeling and I won’t be able to ever recommend Budget. I know people say you get what you pay for but in this case I paid twice as much as I should have.

Best place to get treated poorly and receive the bait and switch treatment. Poor customer service, dirty cars, didn't have the car I prepaid for, made no attempt to be helpful. Everyone was very concerned that THEY be respected (there was a sign up on the issue) but that doesn't seem to go both ways. If you're looking at their web page...don't do it...just walk / run away. I promise that you'll want to later. Never again, never again!

Excellent customer service with the rental car return portion of this business. It was a rainy, dangerous, and packed day of traveling and returning the Budget Rental SUV was smooth. The person who received the vehicle was courteous, calm in the storm, and seamless about checking the car in. He offered to get my luggage out of the car but I respectfully declined. The shuttle arrived in 5 mins just like the staff said and they even have a pop up tent and bench in the shuttle waiting area, which is very customer service friendly.The driver, I believe he was an older Ethiopian/Somalian man, was very customer service oriented and he put my bags on the rack inside the shuttle, during the bad rain. Very courteous. We will look to rent from Budget again with this great treatment and seamless process.

This place IS A JOKE!!!! I rented a car from them and as I was walking out the airport waiting for their shuttle bus to pick me up. Guess what???!!!! Their Shuttle bus DID NOT show up!!!! Can you believe what a joke these fools are? Then, I called these fools and they told me their shuttle bus has done for the day and they told me to take a taxi to get to their rental place. I was like, are you kidding me?!!!! DO NOT USE THEM if you have a brain at all....These people are a bunch of liars and VERY DISHONEST people. Be smart and use another rental place!! That's one of the reason why they got kick out of the Ronald Regan Airport. Notice they are not with the other rental cars anymore. While I was waiting for Budget's shuttle bus, the other rental shuttle box has came and gone many times. Why would their shuttle bus be gone for the day already and left me stranded at the airport??? These Budget idiots are so DISHONEST!!!!!!!!
