I have been a frequent client and have had the pleasure and privilege of experiencing exceptional service rendered by Ms. Zellars. In today's fast-paced, nonchalant culture, it has been a breath of very fresh air to be greeted by someone who ALWAYS maintains an outstanding level of professionalism, a smile on her face and makes each customer feel as important as the CEO of a major brand. I sincerely hope that she is recognized for her extraordinary service in the very near future.

No GPS system in car having paid for it. Made staff aware but no solution and No refund for same as yet. Having to work to try and get it back. I'm still in shock after the experience

I’m going to give them five stars because the employees were very nice and helpful. My car was also very very clean and nice. However, I paid for a compact car and received a seven seater minivan because it’s the only car they had in the entire lot. I don’t think it should even be possible to reserve something that doesn’t exist. But I think that’s a wider company issue, not this branch. Lovely workers and they do a great job cleaning!

Great location to avoid massive on-airport fees. Guys were super friendly and helpful. I'd rent here again in a heartbeat.Only negative: the car deodorizer they used was very strong and stayed with us in the car for our entire rental period.

"I'm an Uber driver who recently had to rent a car due to an accident with my own vehicle. My experience at the Avis Pentagon City Mall location was absolutely exceptional. The service provided by the manager, Mia, left me truly speechless. Mia displayed an outstanding level of professionalism, kindness, and empathy throughout my entire rental experience.When an unfortunate incident occurred, and the rental car was broken into with a shattered window, I returned the vehicle in a state of panic. However, Mia reassured me without hesitation, saying, 'Don't worry, I'll quickly arrange for another car for you, stress-free.' Her calm and reassuring demeanor was a testament to her exceptional customer service.I must also commend Turner and Tiara, who were equally amazing in their roles. Their professionalism was truly remarkable. When I returned the car today, I was greeted with genuine happiness from the entire team, and we even shared some laughter and friendly banter about life. It's evident that the Avis Pentagon City Mall location fosters a great atmosphere and work environment.Considering the daily challenges they undoubtedly face with some less-than-pleasant customers, I believe this location deserves special recognition. A bonus or some form of acknowledgment is well-deserved for the entire team, from the car runners to the managerial staff. I wholeheartedly recommend recognizing their outstanding efforts and dedication to providing exceptional customer service."

Absolute worst experience. Called for a half hour and no one answered. Got there and waited over an hour even though there was only two people in line in front of me. A rep decided to help the customer in front of me. Then leave instead of helping me so I had to keep waiting. When I finally get to the desk, the rep stops helping me to take answer the phone. Guess it’s just when I need to speak to the location they don’t answer. I’ll never use any budget/Avis location again

The customer service at this location is nonexistent! I rented the car on a Friday and it took well over an hour to get the rental. There was an issue, but none of that was communicated to the customers. Upon returning my rental it took days for the car to be logged in. I called customer service and was transferred at least a dozen times. The rental car had a warning light on for my entire trip. Avoid renting here!

Incredibly slow wait times. Waited 45 minutes to pick up a car we prebooked online. Which was not how we wanted to spend our Saturday afternoon. The person working there was doing three different things alongside ours. Wouldn't use again.

I rented a vehicle online and prepaid. Everything seemed fine until I got to the pick up point. I was told I could not rent the vehicle I chose because I didn’t bring a credit card with me. All I had at the time was my drivers license and debit card. I don’t carry my credit cards with me at all times. My ONLY option at this point was to accept a lower priced vehicle for the SAME PRICE!! I was livid but needed to get on the road for a medical emergency in my family. I originally rented an SUV similar to a Chevy Traverse What I got stuck with was a 5 passenger Ford Edge. I am still giving them 4 stars because the rep I dealt with was professional and friendly and did everything in his power to help.

Bad services!!! I rent a SUV for two days. They charged me around $800. I drived my car from charlotte to DC. When I made the resrvation, the website showed the estimated price is around $280. After returnning their car, I found they charged me extra money (miles, days of use, etc), which is around $520. I recommend that if you want to rent a car for several days, enterprise or uhual may be a better choice. Budget will charge a lot of invisible money, which you don't know when you make the reservation.

We had a reservation and we had to wait for over an hour along with 9 other people who had reservations because there were no vehicles at this location. Other people waiting with us said they had been waiting for hours even though they also had reservations. The staff were very professional and I don't blame them at all, this is a corporate problem. I doubt I will be using any Budget Rental again.

I’m sorry to give such a bad review. I don’t know who to blame, neither rental counter service at pentagon city mall Arlington, VA. nor billing department. The problem is I DID NOT RENT THE CAR. I got emails for surveys and e-receipts for $440.63. it was charged from debit card. I did report these problem and they refund it. They excuse was system error. The car was rented one way from my Arlington, VA and return at Columbus, OH, all of these information show on receipt. But my main concern is how this error happened. The computer system just run and start charging people randomly.Just BE AWARE.

Despite the fact that the staff was kind and it wasn't their fault. I'd steer anyone away from this rental location. I reserved a car for 2 pm on a Sunday. Just before 10 that Sunday morning I received a call saying they did not have a small car, only SUVs and pick up trucks, and also that they closed at 2 pm on Sundays, so I would need to come earlier to get the car. I was given no directions to the site that was hidden inside a mall. So I ended up dragging my bags around the mall asking for directions. When I returned the car, the closest gas station was 1-2 miles away, adding time to refill. Then the gps sent me to the opposite side of the mall, so I had to drive in circles looking for the entrance. In the garage there were no signs pointing to the office, so again I dragged my bags around while looking. Then the elevator was out of order, so I dragged a large heavy suitcase down 2 flights of stairs, bruising my leg. By the time I found the office I was sweating and late. So I was charged an extra hour. Although I was told it would be refunded, the paperwork was indecipherable, and I couldn't tell if it was or not for several days.The closest bathroom was at the opposite end of the mall 2 floors up. So after a long drive, I kept dragging my bags. Then the spot to catch a Lyft was at the opposite end of the mall. So again, I dragged bags. Although I did get the type of car I reserved, and the staff were helpful, this was the most unpleasant rental car experience I've ever had. If you need to rent here, ask lots of questions in advance.

If you have mechanical problems on a Friday you can expect not to receive another car that weekend because they'll tow it to a service center (Backlick Road, Springfield)that will close at 4 pm and doesn't reopen until Monday, and you will not be allowed to checkout another rental until the broke down car is entered back into inventory. They will allow you to believe it's only a matter of an hour or so as they are possibly instructed to do, but don't believe them book elsewhere and move on.
