Didn’t feel welcomed. I wasn’t acknowledged until I asked to be rung up. I should have just bought my products from Bergdorfs or Saks instead. Probably will return products, vibe still doesn’t sit well with me. Not a good shopping experience.

I have been shopping at Bluemercury for almost 10 years, mainly at this location, and it’s always an awesome experience. The team is extremely helpful, gets to know you and the products you like, and is happy to provide samples and introduce you to new products if you have a specific need or concern. They give a heads up on new products coming out, upcoming sale events, and truly make an effort to cater to your skincare and beauty interests. I try to purchase most of my products from them because I know it will be a good experience and they take such great care of me - shout out to Jodi and Sean who treat me like a queen! If you’re local, Bluemercury Clarendon is such an asset to your skincare and beauty “family” and it’s so wonderful to have them as a resource.

Was trying to shop but it was an uncomfortable experience. Im sure brown latinos are not the everyday audience, but Jodi made sure to make me feel unwelcomed. Remarking the store to not carry many fragrances despite nearly all their skin care carrying fragrance and the large array of Jo Malone, Tocca, & Nest products, im sure there were no fragrance products for me to shop for OR i just wasnt welcomed

I owe a big thanks to the staff at Bluemercury in Clarendon. I was looking for a plum/purple eye pencil, and despite my wearing (ok, I realized belatedly) my reading, blue light glasses, which changed all the colors to brown, they patiently showed me all sorts of options. I ended up buying the perfect plum pencil from a brand I was not familiar with. After so many pencils which make my eyes water and tear, this one is perfect and I’ve had no reaction. Thank you!

I hardly ever write reviews but wanted to shout out Jodi. I had been hating how my makeup looked, and wandered in last week to see if I could find new products that may help. I usually get intimidated by makeup stores like Sephora, and was a bit apprehensive. But Jodi listened to my concerns and gave me suggestions and also tested products on me in store. she never once pressured me to buy a thing but gave me options, and provided tips on how to apply different types of products to get the best results. Her picks were all amazing but I loved how she didn’t tell me I needed a 10 step routine. She managed to change my skin with 2 products and she was so spot on! She and all of the staff were so friendly and helpful and I’ve felt more happy with my skin/makeup this last week than I have in years! And I’ve even gone to dermatologists, estheticians, etc. I’ve always loved makeup and skincare, and it’s super nice to have a store where you can ask questions, try things, and not feel any judgement or pressure! I had a procedure done by my estesthetician and couldn't use products they sell due to allergies. My estesthetician recommended a specific product at the Clarendon Bluemercury location. Upon arrival, a woman named Jodi stated the suggested product wasn't very good. She showed me a fragrant botanical product more than 2X the cost of what was suggested to me. I tried to explain my severe allergies and said I didn't want a product with fragrance. Jodi assured me it was all natural and would be fine. Once home, after reading the label, I knew it wasn't for me. I went back with my unopened product to get what my esthetician recommended. Again, Jodi helped me. She took my return then led me to the product I wanted. She picked up another product in the line and said I would need the second item to make the first effective. She walked to the register to ring up the sale. The two items together cost more than my initial purchase. Jodi didn't ask for my email to record my history, nor did she give me the option of having my receipt emailed. At that point I was done. I said I didn't like being rail-roaded and that was exactly what she had done from the moment I entered the store the first time. I told her I wanted only the one product I originally went there for. She finally worked through giving me my credit and ringing up just the one product I wanted.The store appeared to have a great variety of products and my guess is if you steer clear of Jodi, you will have a wonderful experience.

Jodi is the best! She is so knowledgeable and really takes the time to educate you on skin care. I never feel like she's selling me on products. She really keeps you focused on the vital products you need.

I have been going to this store for years and the staff are all great. They are always happy to help with anything you need. I try to avoid ordering online because it is always more fun to pop in and see what's new.

I love bluemercury products and usually order online even though I live close to this store because the staff here make me so uncomfortable. They either ignore you or give you attention and always look like they are having the worst day of their lives. Not sure what is going on there. Would recommend just ordering online.

I love the products and its in my neighborhood so I shop here.However the customer service is terrible. Staff is condescending and dry. I have come in so many times yet the one older woman has never been nice. Last time I was in, I wanted a better face was. Fromacross the store, a new associate tells memy skin looks tight? Why? Then explainsVitamin C like I am a baby. I already said I need a new facewash, and wanted brands.There is a gentleman who works here. Knowledgable, friendly, attentive and doesn’t insult customers. Please promote him.

I have been coming to Bluemercury for about 7 years - first in DC and then in Clarendon. I called in November to get their sale dates for La Mer and was told the sale was going on through December 2-13. I was out of town at the beginning of the sale so went in on the last day and was unceremoniously told the sale ended December 11th. The sales manager didn't care that I'd been a customer for years or that the possibility existed that someone on their staff gave me bad info (if I made it up, how is it I was off by 2 days?) but she grilled me on when did I call and proudly stated that although she was the manager she'd call her supervisor but she said that nothing would change. I mentioned this to my skin care professional who said she had bad service there more than once now and stopped going (she orders her La Mer online & said they give full size samples with purchase). She also told me that she has another client who spends thousands there and this woman said there are multiple causes for complaint. Super rude as reviewed here in July is my experience as well and I will not go back. (additionally parking is difficult and there are aggressive panhandlers in the area).

The staff at the Clarendon store (Didi in particular) were very helpful in hunting down iS clincal products for me that were listed as out of stock online. After the order was placed, I discovered that the delivery address was incorrect and Didi went above and beyond to make sure my package was delivered to the correct location by contacting UPS and keeping me in the loop. I cannot thank them enough for their superb customer service!
