Absolutely the best managed corporate apartments I've ever lived in from Seattle, San Diego, and now DC Metro/North Virginia. The owning company is Equity and you will be paying them handsomely in rent, they do a fair job and the location is premier. However, the real 5 star review is for the local team at 2201 Wilson - Shaun, Thuraya, Krysten, Trent, Jose, and more. All my maintenance requests were done in 24hrs, with a note saying who completed it and what they did, then a follow up by the management team via a phone call. I had issues with my bank doing autopay through their corporate portal for rent and they worked with me so I never paid a penalty. The local team is 10/10. Strongly recommend, would rent again.

Ive lived in the apartments at 2201 Wilson for two years. While the apartments are pricey, residents stay for the community and location. Namely the best feature of the building is the incredible front desk team - Ms. Cynthia, Ms.Vernell, and Trent. They are the most welcoming and kind. Thuraya in the back office is wonderful and helps the community stay afloat. Great place to live!

Wilson Apartment is a nice building, located in good area at Court House. Many shops and stores are closed. There is several restaurants and coffee shops , Theater...There is an easy access to public transport ( metro and buses). Appartements are modern. The building management team is friendly and efficient!
We are satisfied. It's nice to live at Wilson Apartment from Equity.
This is a beautiful place to live.

Great place to live but I would like more ventilation. No one bothers you it is really quiet, and management is always on top of maintenance. Love our balcony view and access to the garage via elevators.

I have lived here since 2014, and the community has been in steep decline the past couple of years. Cheap remodels, with constant drilling noise, have been happening non-stop since 2020. Our remodel involved plastering over a pantry closet that was on the blueprint and would have been very useful, and the towel racks are installed so that the towels cover the toilet paper holder. Not to mention, the towel racks and knobs fall off frequently. They have obviously downgraded to the cheapest possible appliances. The freezer keeps popping open, the dishwasher basket won't pop back into place, the delicate setting on the washer and dryer are NOT delicate, etc.
Other, miscellaneous problems:
- The garage is not secure; someone stole my husband's locked $2k bike.
- The garage door is constantly broken. I have missed and paid for doctors' appointments, because I couldn't leave.
- Insulation is non-existent. Expect your energy bills to be HIGH, especially in summer.
- They now charge a $400 fee if you forget to pay rent, whereas previously they sent an e-mail reminder.
- Whenever you have a problem, management refers you to Equity corporate, which never responds. They probably will in their response to this review.
- Delivery trucks arrive every morning around 3-4 am and are LOUD. This noise was disruptive even when I lived on the 10th floor.
- The loading-dock trash is almost always full, mostly due to the remodels. Sometimes I have not been able to clean on the weekends.
- High turnover in nearby businesses, with a decline in quality of the new ones. The building in the parking lot became a vape store, and there's a gun store a few doors down.
Overall, the competition in the neighborhood has increased with the construction of multiple new buildings. We do not plan on renewing our lease.

I'm going on my 4th year in this building and I overall love living here! But some of the cons have started to take over.
Pros:
-Can't beat the location. steps away from Courthouse metro, ~15 min walk to Clarendon or Rosslyn
-Onsite front desk, maintenance, cleaning, and leasing staff are extremely kind, friendly, and helpful and easy to talk to. They remember your name/unit and are always there to help!
-I love that there is someone up front around the clock to receive guests and packages. There is multi-badge security for garages/doors which makes things feel safe
-The building is very well-maintained, any maintenance issues are resolved within 24hrs and efficiently-communicated
-Gym, pool, lobby area are all super nice to have available
Cons:
-The construction to renovate 'old' units is constant (multiple units mostly weekly) and LOUD. This project has been ongoing over the last few years to renovate each old unit as tenants move out, I believe the staff said they have about 30-40 left to go on the 200ish units in the building. Obviously differs by where the unit is approximate to yours, but on the days where I work from home it's sometimes so bad that I have to leave and go elsewhere
-The parking garage is rough. It's small, only two floors, and poorly laid out. Most of the spots are Compact and/or partially obstructed by columns. It seems that they've oversold passes for the space that they have, because if you get home after like 9pm, forget about finding a spot. I will say they have seemed to be trying to rectify this issue by doing parking audits and tampering down on the amount of guest/staff spaces available
-Seems like somewhat poor insulation/circulation in summer - I paid $130-150 for Energy Bills for several months for my 1BR
-I understand market fluctuation in pricing but the renewal pricing is consistently 10-12% a year. I received a renewal offer for 2024 that was 35% higher than the pricing I began my lease at in 2021. in the past there has been wiggle room with renewal negotiations but it seems like Equity has taken lots of power away from onsite staff and keeps everything top-level now. You would think Equity being involved in a lawsuit regarding price-gouging would maybe help, but not yet lol.
****I was informed I would not be able to negotiate my next renewal offer because I was in an 'old' unit, which only makes me think that they're trying to price out the tenants who's units they can't yet renovate. Again, I know this is an Equity thing, not a 2201 Wilson specific thing. But obviously still affects its tenants!

I have lived here for 7 months. All staffs in this building including from front desk, conceierge and leasing office are very nice and professional. Even though I had several issues including my bathtub and electricity, staffs solved them in very quick manner.

We have lived at 2201 Wilson for nearly 3 years. Its location is extremely convenient and the apartments are well laid out and spacious. Long term concierge staff is accommodating and professional. The building is kept clean. Importantly, the service manager and his staff are responsive and helpful. They go above and beyond. We had issues with a window which then the service manager made sure was replaced. Work gets done when promised.

Worst apartment experience EVER in many years of renting. My partner and I had a year lease at 2201 Wilson in Arlington, VA on a 2 BR 2 BA apartment for $3600 per month. The washing machine was not functioning properly the entire time we lived in the apartment; it shredded our clothes and bedding with every use. Management lied about the resolution at every juncture.First they told us the washer would be replaced but it was on backorder. After several months, we were told the washer was never ordered, and the manufacturer would need to repair the unit since it was under warranty. That never happened either. 7 months of the lease had elapsed without a properly functioning washer. We decided to move out before the end of the lease term and provided 60-days notice. We asked to negotiate a compromise for the early termination fee due to the circumstances above. Also requested to file a claim for the damages incurred to our clothes and bedding.Management refused to negotiate a compromise for the $6500 termination fee. Also, they would not reimburse us for the damaged laundry and told us to file a claim with our renters insurance instead. Our insurance company would not pay a claim since it was considered negligence of the apartment building. In addition, we filed 2 appeals through the Equity Apartment Resident Relations portal and NEVER received a response to either. Please save yourself the time and expense and look elsewhere for an apartment in Arlington, VA, especially if you desire a resolution for non-functioning appliances during your lease term if needed.
