I'm country but studied in a professional rank, showed up in jeans-kiltie shoes & a white dress shirt...bought a load of tomatoes to bring home to make salsa stock baggies for the freezer.. Cost, $14.99.He slides ne back change.. a penny & a $10. Spot.. without thinking I say no- handing it back for tge right bill- a $5...Didn't think much about it initially but- he's a sharp fellow..He was sizing me up-I appreciate hus style..God Bless the Country Folks...??

Mike the guy that runs the store is the kind of person you want running the store. He's friendly and helpful. Also, they have Hunt Bros pizza!

I actually go to this store frequently. They have about anything you'd want and great produce alot of it is locally grown. Mike and the girls that work there are very nice and helpful. Best store in Ararat, minutes from Mt. Airy. By the way gas is $3.14. Come visit, you'll be back!

This rural general store has it all....fresh produce, fresh bread, canned goods, local jellies, toilet paper, paper towels, flowers, beer, gas and much much more. His gasoline is always the cheapest around. They even sell homemade hot dogs. Mike's staff is friendly and helpful. This is our favorite mountain general store and we drive down the mountain from Fancy Gap to shop there.
