The only reason I am rating this a four star, is because my previous experiences were much better than today's experience.Whoever fried the fish today, October 13th, 2003; fried the fish and old grease. My family was really looking forward to this fish and it was a big disappointment.Customer service is always excellent. The ladies are always polite and welcoming. But the fish was awful. However, the chicken looked REALLY good. I probably should have gotten some.

Fried Chicken is best in town, the cat fish sandwich is as good as any I have ever had. The two ladies behind the counter do a great job.

Asked how long chicken been up. Guy says "not too long" I spend $8.00 plus on chicken snack and chicken is dry and cold. Put you old chicken on a discount rack! Nasty. How are you guys training ppl to sell old chicken? Hope I get sick so I can make a bigger deal than this

Truly the driest chicken in the state of Virginia. Tried it for the first time and the last time. I guess people eat the chicken because they do not know what good southern chicken is. The chicken was dry as gunpowder.

Got charged 15 dollars for kerosene.When I went to pump the tank was empty.Worker said she returned the money to my card?It's been seven days now.Talked to Carrie she said she would call Still no call yet?Called today to find out why and assist manager was RUDE Yelling at me on the phone and refused to do anything?Manager refused to give name and kept hanging up phone and said she doesn't have to give me her name?Like where is my money you guys were supposed to return?I don't know how the assistant manager can be so rude and talk to a customer this way ?Absolutely nothing has been done it's my money and I want it!

Quick but satisfying, staff is efficient and polite. I enjoy the convenience and high health and safety standards of the Appomattox store. Family owned, this store is closely monitored for quality Control and food handling practices. I have never received bad service or bad gas from this store. Kudos!
